  1. We're leaving tonite. Who else is going? Hope to see some members there. Vicky (er, um Tail OF the Dragon not Tail fo the Dragon)
  2. We're not going this year because we're doing the ZDayz Tail of the Dragon run in May. Will miss all the fun and hope it doesn't rain this year! Seems to be more and more 350Z's so enjoy the first gens while you can folks. Have fun Ben, would have liked to meet up and talked and see your beautiful new wheels. Vicky
  3. The fan shroud (it's a 2 piece unit) will fit a 280Z from 74.5 to 78. Vicky
  4. Can you contact your insurance company and complain to them about the unacceptable work? Maybe they could send a guy out to look at your car. Since they paid to have the car fixed, it's their money that was used to repair the car, you might be able to wip them up into a frenzy and they just might act on your request. I wouldn't let this just go away, stand your ground and get your insurance company involved. Best of Luck. Vicky
  5. Hey that's "Ol' Yeller" in that photo with the Z32 and Z33. Chris, you're a great photographer, that was a fun day. Sean's Z32 is the nicest (and probably one of the fastest) 300ZX's around. I believe if my back was turned Scott would have traded my 240Z for that carLOL Vicky

  7. Well I guess Scott and I are the odd folk out on this one. Our cars are show cars and not daily drivers. The red Z started out to be a simple paint job but the whole resto/mod got out of control and you can see by the car it's not a daily driver. The 240Z is one of the Vintage Z's and would never be a daily driver and the Scarab is just to rare to be a daily driver. Our hobby is car shows on the weekends so I guess you could say that the function of our Z's fits our idea of how the car should be built. The cars are driven to shows and on weekends for fun but not to work or the store, etc. I'd love to have a Z for a daily driver. I'd trade my 4-Runner or S10 any day for a good reliable Z. Vicky
  8. :stupid: That is the outcome of a crack addiction. Just say NO!! and PUT THE PIPE DOWN!! Scott
  9. Gregg check out my gallery with the silver Scarab. It's a 77 body with 240Z bumpers front and rear. The car still has the 280Z grill too. Vicky
  10. That's a "big 10-4" Enrique. Thanks for the clarification. Vicky
  11. What's that on the side of the console? Vicky
  12. Isn't it normally white smoke for oil burning and black smoke for a car that's loaded up or not burning all or most of the fuel? Wouldn't the spark plugs be totally trashed after this? (Dumb questions, sorry, but I'm trying to lean here) Vicky
  13. Art, how about a classified ads section in Sport Z Magazine? That other, err, ah...........Z magazine had one. Just a thought. See ya at the Dragon, you're going I hope. It's turning into the "Eastcoast Nationals" from what I've heard. (Sorry didn't mean to hyjack this thread) Vicky

  15. While driving my Mach 1 home from work one lovely Florida afternoon, I noticed a "black thing" run across my dash over to the passenger side dash corner. I looked and it was a roach about 2 1/2 inches long!!!!! I had him pinned over in the corner (the one time I was glad to own an automatic) with my hair bush until I could pull off the road and get someone to help me get this monster out of my car. Lo an behold I see one of Floridas' finest clocking speeders on this busy street. I pulled right up infront of him, blocking his radar gun and ran over to him and said I had a huge cockroach in my car. The cop was more scared then I was but he got the sucker out and I continued my drive. Honestly one of the most frightning times in a car. Vicky
  16. In the "Sport Compact" section they list the Centerforce Clutch for 74-28 280Z's. Remember they have thousands of applications and just because something is not listed for our cars doesn't mean they don't sell it. Call them and tell them what you have and what you need and they will get it, cheaper then MSA. Vicky
  17. Sorry Will you just can't beat the prices in Chartreuse Peanut. Did you see price for the rare OEM upper radiator hose for the 240Z's, $5.00!!! And thousands in stock! The best parts mag name for Datsun parts was "Tweeks", remember them, now they sell Porsche parts, if they're even still in business. Vicky
  18. Speaking of Summit Racing, did anyone see the limited editon Baldwin-Motion Camaro in the centerfold. Made right down the road here, beautiful car. Yes, many parts for our Z's and great service too. Vicky
  19. Huh, what??? I love our Z's but Bill think of what you just typed. Rusty Z, sunny drive over a Ford GT, I think not. Now maybe if the Z wasn't so rusty:cheeky: Vicky
  20. Looks fixable. If the engine was in the front wouldn't you see fluids leaking out from a front end hit? It really looks driveable......well.............sorta. If he was drifting in that car near those poles, that's what you get. What a tool:tapemouth Edit: It does look like fluids from the front and I guess he wasn't drifting. Still showing off and loosing it is sad and in a country club no less. Vicky
  21. Chris parts!!!! Road trip!!! I like the fat rims on the yellow 70. If anyone here gets that car and doesn't want the rims, let me know.....pleazzzz! Vicky

Yes Arne, excellent Z cruisin' music. Didn't Deep Purple do "Highway Star"? Another classic, a little before my time, but none the less a great car song. I believe my 72 240Z came with only one speaker. (Did all the early 240Z's come with just one speaker???) Kinda hard to rock out with a mono rather than a stereo, so to speak. Vicky

I hear ya there Victor! I had a Pioneer Superturner 8-Track in my Mustang. Remember those, they had the big dial on the left. Very cool in the day. Mine was cranked with Boston's "Foreplay/Longtime" and of course every other song on that tape. Their first album is the greatest record of all time in my book. Vicky
  24. Looking at Carl Beck's article in the winter 2005 SZM "Timeline", It states the 1975 280Z has having 149 hp. This I would guess carries over into 1976 model because he then writes the 1977 280Z hp jumps to 170. Maybe the FSM with specs can clarify? Vicky
  25. Is the Z picnic at Ft. Desoto (Florida) set for April 8th? I hope not-we're going to a wedding that day! I'm really looking forward to seeing a bunch of Zs and meeting the Suncoast Z club members. -Greg Hi Greg Yes, so far it's on the 8th of April. I'll be there, Chris (26th-Z) will be there as will the rest of "Tampa BoyZ"/Suncoast Z Club. Hope to get some good pictures. For all that don't know and for those who don't even care, Ft. Desoto Beach was voted best beach in the USA. A bunch of Z cars will only improve that national reputation. Vicky
