At last, a 280ZX two seat coupe
The Customs agent I'm using has done a good job so far, $250 well spent. He'd organised AQIS (quarantine) to inspect the car today but...... Anyone want his name then PM.

Flares on eBay Australia
With 15x8" wheels and a fairly stiff suspension my rear guards did not have to be cut for ZG flares, the fronts did though. Avatar car is about as low as is practical to drive on the road too. Yeh, those Ebay flares are big, who is up for 10" wheels to fill them out?

Street/trackday engine build
One thing to keep in mind with a high revving L is the front crank pulley/dampener. The stock one is not good enough. Stewart Wilkins Racing in AU for one makes a replacement, based I believe on a BMW unit.

Get this Magazine!!!
Some serious body stiffening work going on there, lots of triangulation, looks effective.

Half-Shafted
You may be able to take comfort from the likely fact that they won't need doing again for another 30 years or so

Photogenic Zed at Ricer meet
If you were a true enthusiast Biker, the trip money would be spent on the Zed But you must be keen to go to QR in this weather, bit hot for me and mine, maybe next month.

Street Machines "Zedbra"
A scan of the article would be good. I'd dispute that the Supra rear suspension would be anywhere near bolt up though. I looked at the possibility of using the later double wishbone Supra rear end, it may well fit if you want a w-i-d-e track at the rear but new body mounts would have to be made so it would have points to bolt up to. Quite doable but a fair bit of structural work involved.

to epoxy primer or not, that is the question-almost!
What is the 'filler' he was talking about? Polyester? Another relevant consideration is that epoxy does a lot better than polyester in sealing against moisture. Consider also whether the preparation of the metal was suitable for epoxy. Points for discussion, body work is not my field of expertise

16" Watanabes on Ebay Australia
Agree with MrC about the offset. The price is very good but thats probably because they are an odd offset.

At last, a 280ZX two seat coupe
Yeh, its pretty exciting after all this time, don't know the size of the Wats, Mikunis, anything, part of the excitement Going to be a road/sprint car, mostly circuit stuff. Should arrive within two months, once it does I'll sort out what parts are going to be sold and probably put it all on Ozdat, maybe some on Ebay. Wheels, L28, gearbox, coilovers, carbs, extractors..........

At last, a 280ZX two seat coupe
It does have some rust bubbles around the bottom of the doors etc, but providing its straight which I'm told it is, relatively minor rust is not a problem. There are some rust buckets and damage history jobs over there though, main reason why it took so long to get one. That and the prices :hurt: More pics

EFI Fuel Tanks
Other than for high G competition use, what you are doing is a sensible solution to the problem of ensuring reliable EFI fuel supply. Compared with the Datsun 1600, the Z tank is very poorly baffled which does not help at all. My S30 ended up with an extra baffle, an internal pot, a pickup pump, swirl pot and EFI pump.
