  1. I’m a tanker myself...
  2. I couldn’t let that one roll away... had to park a joke in there somewhere!
  3. Sounds more like a tranny swap....
  4. Sunroof= opens to the air/sun for daytime fun. Moonroof=glass partition to atmosphere/night sky without opening ability T-roof= transition roof, transitions from sunroof to moonroof with installation of glass panels. Hole over your head= redneck attempt at a sunroof....
  5. Power sliding sunroof in 72? I don’t think so... In a 240Z? Definitely not.
  6. Nice work!
  7. Could’ve been a “brake-in”....
  8. Yup. spring ain't there
  9. I can’t remember how many ends I used but it was about 16 I think. The brake and clutch line is 3/16”, the fuel feed and return are 5/16” and the return vapour line is 1/4” If you upsize the feed and return line to 3/8”, you will need to modify your retaining brackets and rubber isolators. I stuck with stock size.
  10. I used 5/16ths for the fuel lines. From www.Thestopshop.com
  11. I agree Chas, but I am not adding the yoke yet as I do not have a good cable or the right cable for the park brakes yet. This will keep things tight for now.
  12. Off topic, but what is your VIN? Mine was manufactured 9/75 too! Mine is 271295
  13. Added a spring for tension until I find a solution to my park brake issue. The second picture shows the notch in the yoke assembly for the factory tension spring.
  14. Nice work on the front end Jeff. I would really like to see you do your magic on the old front bumper. I have one in similar shape that I plan on doing the same too. I was thinking of trying to chrome powder coat it when I was done though. I’ve had good success with the Eastwood product.
  15. This is a good place to point out all the support and help I have received from this forum and the great people on it. I hope in posting all my pics in this thread that someone else receives help and guidance in their build. Cheers everyone!
  16. Cunifer lines. Make em yourself with the Eastwood flare tool and be done. No need for stainless lines. And flex lines would be awkward. Painted finished lines.
  17. “Will build to suit...”
  18. Your pic didn't load, but I remember seeing a small notch in the yoke of the cable pull that would accommodate the other end of the spring... makes sense now.
  19. Well that makes sense... my car did not come with any spring in that position as the rear brakes were all but completely missing inside the drums. The cables were slack and the mechanism clogged with asphalt underspray.... I will look at this again.
  20. In the first of my two pics, you can see a small tab near the brake tension retainers behind the mechanism. This is a perfect spot for the spring to attach.
  21. Working on the park brake linkage. I will not have park brakes on the rear discs (until AZC makes them again!) so I am installing the system minus the old cable that needed replacing anyways. I will figure out the remaining linkage when I finally get park brakes. I will probably add a spring for tension and that way the handle will work rather than flop around.
  22. My drums were trashed and the complete internal hardware missing. All the rest Of the suspension was destroyed as well so.... might as well go fresh and pretty. No reason other than aesthetic for me really.
  23. Hear hear! I agree. A daily driver that doesn’t require significant time or repair is one thing, but don’t get a project until your life is in a place that will accommodate it financially with time to do it properly. Buy it, drive it or store it. Eventually you will be in the right place to restore one.
  24. The AZC rear brake kit is very nice and will work well with a 15/16th master cylinder, but the additional rear park brake system is currently not available and after over a year of inquiring, I am beginning to give up hope that they will be making them again....
