1977 280z EFI Nightmare
For me to do the coolant temp tweak my car ran like crap up to 2,500 rpm then ran good. It would buck and spit and sputter starting off then when I got it over 2,500 it did good with that much load I guess? A trained Nissan guy from the 80s I know worked on it but couldn't figure it out. He didn't know about the coolant temp tweak but he did clamp off the return line coming off the FPR and said it ran much better. Talked about a rising rate pressure regulator, $200. I started reading on here and found Blue's Tech Tip. Went to Radio Shack when they still existed and bought a volume knob for $5. Installed it like Blue showed and bam! new car. Still have that volume knob in the passenger's floor board. It's fun playing with as I drive down the interstate. I can control the engine's temp gauge, get it lean and improve the MPGs or flood it out and stall the car. Try clamping off the return line. Not completely just almost.

Maybe not. and could be or? What are the risks of going the easy way and remove the complete head cylinder instead?

su versus weber carbs
I heard the race but didn't see it. I'm guessing you won. I love my SUs too.

battery chargers
They all say "digital chargers" now? When I worked with my Dad hauling cars back and forth to the big auctions we always had to use a jump box to hook up temporarily to get the car out and on the trailer. Then he had one of those big boys that roll around, Die Hard. $149 at amazon.com. good reviews too. https://www.amazon.com/DieHard-71331-Battery-Charger-Maintainer/dp/B07775RGNM/ref=asc_df_B07775RGNM/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=316747946823&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4903338090546529506&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9012727&hvtargid=pla-588454711373&psc=1 Here's the jump box same story as above, good. https://www.amazon.com/STANLEY-J5C09-Jump-Starter-Compressor/dp/B002X6VXL4/ref=sr_1_5?_encoding=UTF8&c=ts&dchild=1&keywords=Jump+Starters+%26+Battery+Chargers&qid=1621347330&s=automotive&sr=1-5&ts_id=387679011

280z no fuel delivery
I just thought about that, the grounds. Here's a good write up with pics. Good luck. https://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/electricalconnections/index.html

280z no fuel delivery
Do not think about coincidences, they happen in dreams only. Something you did caused your problem. Is the small wire firm on the starter's solenoid? Pull the fuel hose before the rail and see what kind of amont your geeting. I've never heard of an air/fuel lock problem on Zs but maybe you created one.

Finally Got My Garage Mahal!!!
I put these in my rental house after I went up on the breaker amps. Work great. Microwave and all kinds of other crap ladies use on the countertops. I think there's 8 per strip. Like a big ole surge protecter from Lowes. $20?

Z's on BAT and other places collection
I won't even put stickers on my cars for that reason. The Zs are well known around town but that Camry and my D21 pickup are getaway cars.

I think he has the easy way confused with the hard way. Hard way=remove head Easy way= leave head on

EGR Vacuum Routing?
I've zip tied gauges to the driver's wiper blade and ran my coolant temp tweak inside the cabin to adjust while driving but I'll be damned if I can figure out how you got that gauge to hover like that. Are you some kind of space alien?

EFI Fuel Pump Noise
I got one of the last Bosch pumps in 2011 or 2012 from Advance Auto, $250. Then Beck Arnley started making them if I remember right.

Your idea of T ing off one should work. 2 Ts and some hose. That sounds good. I like hoes.

EGR Vacuum Routing?
Okay... There's one on the driver's side that went to the egr. In my pic above circled in yellow. The one you're talking about is on the passenger's side of the throttle body and goes the vacuum advance dashpot and the canister. Here's where it connects to the throttle body... Here's the T... Canister connection... I can do better later. I'm helping my neighbor right now so let me know if you want better. Cliff

HVAC allows folks to live in the damndest places. Never been there but the one's that have tell me I've got it worse with the humidity here. I had a tshirt from the French quarter, "it's not the heat-it's the stupidity".

EGR Vacuum Routing?
I'll have to get a picture. Give me an hour, not near the car at the moment.

EGR Vacuum Routing?
I haven't a clue. I plugged the hose under the TPS circled in yellow to get my car to run after removing egr crap. I don't remember it having anything to do with the distributor or canister? Seems like one of the two hoses off the egr went there and the other to that thermal vacuum switch on the warming plate. It's been a long time and I've forgotten, sorry.

COVID-19
Payback for Buddy's flatulence throughout the night. He eats so fast his food isn't digested enough until about 1a.m then he lets them rip. He used to sleep opposite of me, his head at my feet and the fart cannon at my head. Covid-19 to dog poots.... Now that's my flatulence written out.

Look for the vertical line molded in the cap. That's #1. http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/distributor/correction.jpg

- COVID-19
I just connected with some of my best friends via text message. We are going to our favorite Mexican restaurant Friday night and eat, I mean get falling down drunk and eat nachos and salsa, to celebrate our vaccination and the positive effects it has made on our lives. Getting back to normal is a mind bending thing for me. I'm so happy! (hopefully it'll last).- 1977 280z EFI Nightmare
I have mine at full advance and it runs fine. By that I mean loosened the bolt and turned it all the way clockwise. Fyi, I'm not any kind of trained mechanic just seat of the pants and what sounds good to my ears. You seem curious to figure it out which is good in my opinion.- Random Misfire while cruising
Has the ring around the bottom or top of the seal somehow come loose or slid out of it's seat? I think that cheap compressor would work. Hook the bottom hooks on the lowest ring of the spring and the upper on the retainer. Use a small telescoping magnet to catch the valve retainer clips. I think it could be done with a big socket on the retainer and rubber hammer, magnet to catch the clips. I've read that before. Good luck with it Alex. - COVID-19
