  1. haven't heard from Andrew in a while. You still with us @ZCurves ?
  2. I was able to find the thread from this spring. Still haven't taken the time to see what jets and tubes they have, maybe tonight? I'd always hoped to hear them on my 240, everybody says it makes a huge difference in the sound but I'm a little intimidated by them after reading so much. I have a fairly good grasp on my SUs and am happy with them so I thought I'd sale the Webers to someone that will use them. There a big old paper weight here at my house. $1,000 as is without any choke cable and the throttle rod hook drops in the linkage above the back carb like original. I'll try and look inside them tonight and get any numbers I can, also take some better pictures. I just decided to sale them for sure, Fall clean-up around here.
  3. Triple Italian made Weber 40s with a Cannon intake, Red Line filters. They came with a 240 I bought a few years ago. I'll post a photo later this morning.

I think you need it but let's get the advice of "the Guys" that know more about bodywork than me. What do you all think? Mine needs painting but other than that is a good piece of tin.

  6. He's more than happy to share them, I'm sure, but Photobucket SUCKS!!!! Maybe he's got something? it's a great write-up.

If this is part of the "3 piece valance" you talked about buying earlier, you won't need mine. But if you haven't bought that yet you need this from your pictures of the wrecks damage. This is the lower front curve around fender before the front lip or valance. It's the lower metal in front of your passengers side front tire, the end of the front bumper finishes over this piece. That sharp bend is where the bumper fits.
  8. Does either one have SU carbeurators like the 240Z? I don't see an LP tank on your's either but it's pretty much got to be LP fueled indoors.
  9. Well at least it wasn't CLAMPED. Those Nissan fork lifts are the reason I can still buy new parts for my 240, according to the Parts Guy at my local dealership.
  10. I feel the same way about the lime green, I want one bad.

Because they're always full of gravel. Gravel plate? Stone deflectors is what google.com says.
  12. I'd start with a razor scraper and dry sanding with a 220 grit sanding sponge. Then clean it all up with mineral spirits and the sanding sponge. That's how I got it off fan blades. 3M makes a safe stripper I've seen at Lowe's, never used it though. Good luck.
  13. When you live out in the woods like we do Charles people think it's funny. When you're in an airport and hear someone doing it, you tell the authorities.
  14. Well at least you may can use the spring off the one I sent.
  15. I've done it! My conversation was way more important, to me.

    June Bug paint job. 8^)
  17. Nice original 280 with a turbo. You could really surprise folks leaving the red light.
  18. Wow, what difference that made. No whine at all now.
  19. That's one of my top 10 dumbest head scratchers right there. I even laughed when I reread it just now.
  20. I'm glad I saw this. I was going to use some extra MT-90 mixed with a little 75W/90 I have left over, mostly MT-90 though. Bought a bottle of this for $10 until I can get the Red Line next week from amazon.com. Thanks Jeff.
  21. Eyesight...use it or lose it. I'm on the losing side of 40 unfortunately. The "think positive" side is I don't have to clean my house/cars as much as my younger OCD days.
  22. I'll carry it to fed-ex Monday, hopefully we can do a "postage paid on delivery" type thing? You won't owe me anything. I'll get back with you Monday via e-mail. I'm about to go warm the Earth and bruise some bugs with my 240.
  23. It's an idea that came from my own mess. I would pay someone to build shelves and storage space in my garage. I can try mine and see what my friends think? I was having a Bud Lite moment while looking for a shift rod. It was in the freezer of an older refrigerator I have in my building "just in case" my takes a dump. I think the only way to make it work would be put all the contents in a POD unit and build the shelving, move the useful back in and leave them the POD to fight about. Otherwise it would turn into a Hoarder's episode where they won't get rid of anything away.
  24. Is it the same car in the photos? They both have a blue windshield sticker but the rearview mirrors are different.
  25. I'm thinking about trying this out around here, small town with lazy men. Come in and clean out the garage and add minimal shelving and cabinets to leave room for cars and boats. If anybody has had this done or maybe thought about it and thinks it would be a good idea, make money with little work , chime in and tell me I'm onto something or a dam fool I'd appreciate it. 20 years in general construction so I know the basics it's just whether or not people would pay to keep from doing it themselves. My Mom paid $2,000 to have her closets revamped and she's extremely happy with the results. I'm growing older and worn out!
