Brake drum plug - alternatives?
That's a 1200 FPS brake barrel pellet gun from Wallymart, $88 plus $40 for a decent scope from Academy. I've realized the further out I slide it the quieter it is but the turbulence knocks the accuracy off. So after driving some nails at a homemade target, flattened out beer case with some Sharpie circles, it's accuracy is best at about 4" past the end of the barrel. It still takes the "crack" out and the squirrels too. All you hear is the slamming of the piston into the chamber. My neighbors little girl, sweetest child in the world loves squirrels so it's quiet enough for her not to hear it. I don't let them drop dead on my neighbors property, I wait them out, sooner or later they get in the kill zone. Alabama says they're rodents so no license or hunting season. I have two of the fattest red hawks you've ever seen, they get them as quick as I kill them. Circle of life!

1973 Rebuild
My first rebuild I cleaned everything first, mistake for me. You can look at a dirty part and figure out a lot, shiny side down, indented gaskets show the orientation, things like that. When I rebuilt my 2.4 I waited until I needed the parts to clean them. It made a little easier. Another thing I learned between those two projects was to write down the contents on a piece of paper and put it in the Zip-Loc bag, just marking the bags with a Sharpie won't last long. It seems to always smear off after handling them a few times. My $.02

N42 L28
N42 head with the MSA III cam kit on top of N42 block with dished pistons or F54 block with flat topped pistons? I ask because those are my choices. I have an E31 head too but I'm scared to put it on 86mm flat tops. I'd rather use it on the 2.4. Thanks for some guidance.

polyurethane car paint got sprayed a little bit on dashboard! How to remove??
Mineral spirits might cut it and it's not as "hot" as other thinners. It's more oil based too so no melting of the plastic. It may take multiple applications though. Aren't you an attorney or kin to one? I've googled your email and that's what came up. You should be able to get satisfaction from the painter.

Goof-Off with a Scotch Brite pad might work?

Funny you posted that. I traded front and rear Texas plates for the '72 Alabama plate. When I bought my house I found these in between the rafters of the garage. The man that owned the house also was a mechanic and I assume he pulled them off and just threw them up there. I knew the Tag Doctor would like to have them so I offered a trade. He jumped at the offer. He'll make some money and I got the tag I wanted for free, WIN WIN.

Brake drum plug - alternatives?
I found a thread explaining the lead plug in my rear brake drum. It's there, you tell me why and what it's purpose is and I'll go by what you say.

It's pretty simple. Take the hubcap off and line up the hole in the drum with a slot on the wheel. Insert a screwdriver and turn the wheel until your hand brake is tight when it's half way up. I've done it, should be super simple for you.

Brake booster for a -73
That's opposite of what I ran into, needed the smaller one but nobody had it. End up coming from amazon.com Here's one from rockauto.com for $85 plus $25 core charge http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/nissan,1973,240z,2.4l+l6,1209170,brake/wheel+hub,power+brake+booster,1884 And amazon.com, https://www.amazon.com/Cardone-Industries-53-5104-Brake-Booster/dp/B000RPLG60/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1469924662&vehicle=1973-67-2284-20-----14492------4-0&sr=1-3&ymm=1973%3Anissan%3A240z&keywords=brake+booster The one at amazon is free shipping and no core charge. I didn't do the math but I'd bet amazon is cheaper in the long run. They're sandblasted too or mine was, you'll have to paint it. $84.89 $25.00 $109.89

Thanks to a fellow Alabamian I found out I can register my car using an old Alabama tag. If I've read the DMV right it's going to cost $10 and I won't have to renew it every year. So here's what I'll be sporting around on my 918 orange 240,

It makes my day when I receive that sort of compliment, I actually provided pertinent information. Thank you Jim, we can have fun here in the States next week during ZCON. Also a big THANK YOU to @Chickenman, he's the one that popped out the part number right off the bat.
