COVID-19
California got a plan in place early and avoided the mess that New York has to deal with. They're already working on how to "reopen" society. What we need is a national plan, something to look forward to. Instead of looking backward. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/10/san-francisco-bay-area-coronavirus-example-179147

How to tell R or L hand cut key?
The keys are symmetrical. No right, no left. Edit - this is WRONG. They can be right or left and symmetrical at the same time..

I've done a few bearings on a variety of cars and kind of realized that the extra grease just sits there doing nothing. Only the grease in the vicinity of the bearing does any lubricating. The rest is essentially a shield and/or a reservoir. People tend to pack the cap that sits on the front bearings but if you take the cap off 20,000 miles later the grease in the cap hasn't moved. A shorter answer is that you can kind of eyeball the area and come up with a minimum grease plan.

240Z aftermarket A/C wiring question. HELP!
Use a meter or a test light and see if the wire gets power when you move the lever to AC. There's only a single wire to the clutch, it ground through its mounting points, I think. Find the wire that powrs up with the lever at AC and connect it to the wire at the compressor. Couldn't find a 71 diagram, but here is 76, showing the ground circuit. Your 71 might not have the magnet valves.

COVID-19
Won't be a surprise if there's another few outbreaks in the United States, especially in the areas that have been making it through with low numbers. I just went shopping and it's still depressing how many people there are, young and old, who refuse to wear any type of face covering. It must be vanity, I think. Maybe combined with ignorance. The media has not done a very good of explaining how the big outbreaks like in New York, were started by one or just a few people. Super-spreaders. Who wandered around, sick, spreading the virus to other people who then also spread the virus. Before the mitigation guidelines were broadcast. I am fairly certain that many of the people I see understand how asymptomatic spread happens. But just don't care. They've traced the South Korea outbreak back to a single 61 year old woman who was sick but went to two big events. Here are three of the bigger broadcasters in the area and they don't really have much on masks. Even though the CDC recommends them. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-02-26/how-one-patient-turned-korea-s-virus-outbreak-into-an-epidemic https://www.king5.com/ https://komonews.com/ https://www.kiro7.com/

240Z aftermarket A/C wiring question. HELP!
Which side is hanging? The compressor side or the harness side? Does the car have factory AC and you just got a new compressor? Or is the new AC system completely new? You posted in somebody else's "aftermarket" AC thread so it's not clear what you're working with.

Frozen Master Cylinder/Booster Damage
Check your local auto parts stores first. You never what old dusty parts they have that have been waiting just for you. Wasn't that long ago that you could get a reman booster at OReilly Auto. People have reported problems with quality but might be worth a look. OReilly's not looking good though...

I've wondered if there's a way to get grease in there without disassembly. Hot grease or one of those needle things. Probably not.

Strange Crankcase Ventilation
Does the engine have a lot of miles? If you have high blowby you might blow oil out of a little breather filter on the cover. It will probably run fine just like it is. The inside of the intake system will just get oily and messy. I'd just put it back together and think about it for a while. It won't hurt anything to leave it that way. You wasted money on that PCV valve though, it's not doing anything.
-
Strange Crankcase Ventilation
Most of your questions are answered. The plug looks like a core plug. With a closed system you'll gum up the intake system. Etc. Absorb.... One way to remove a core plug is to tap one side inward. The other side will pivot outward and you can grab it with pliers and yank it out.
-
Strange Crankcase Ventilation
Not with the bottom hose disconnected. There's no opening to the crankcase with the bottom hose plugged. They run poorly because the air gets sucked through the crankcase, through the hose, and through the PCV hose.
-
Strange Crankcase Ventilation
The two downsides to just having the hose connected to your intake system on the top is that the oil will get contaminated faster, and you'll probably gum up the throttle blade, AAR, and intake manifold faster because the crankcase fumes will fill up the intake system when the throttle is closed. You can spend a lot of time trying to figure out a PO's work. It's fun if you're in to psychology.

Strange Crankcase Ventilation
The crankcase is connected to the area under the valve cover through the oil drain passages. The reason for having two ports is so that the gases have a flow path, to push the exhaust gases and vapors out. It's shown by the arrows in that drawing. That's why it's called "positive" ventilation. With just one port, you get pressure and vacuum relief but no flow.
-
Strange Crankcase Ventilation
Looks like somebody plugged yours with a core plug (aka "freeze" plug). That's the spot. Should be a piece of screen behind it. Some people remove the PCV system and just put a breather on the valve cover. Might be why yours is blocked. Looks cleaner. The drawing that I pasted is not correct as far as the details. The orientation of the pipe is wrong among other things.
