No spark - shotty wiring
Just turn the key on, and turn the engine and/or the breaker plate to a position where you can close and open the points by twisting the distributor shaft. As the points open or close you'll see a small spark across the point gap. You can also measure voltage at the points to be sure your connections are good. With the points open you should see battery voltage on one side and continuity to ground on the other side. It's just another way to get in to the basics of how the system works.

You're welcome. Here's another one from Australia. It's just a cartoon. Usually the guy does soccer themes but sometimes he branches out. I hope that nobody is offended. It's just a cartoon. https://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2020/apr/23/david-squires-on-donald-trump-boris-johnson-and-a-turd-rolled-in-glitter

No spark - shotty wiring
With the key on you can actually see a small spark at the points by opening and closing them. That's a good starting point. People often jump straight to spark plugs or coil wires but the first spark is actually at the points. If you get spark at the points then that means the coil should be producing a voltage. Tthen you can go to the main coil wire, then the cap and spark plug wire terminals. That's my method, follow the path... If you have a meter you can measure voltage at several spots to see where it's not making it through.

COVID-19
I had thought that Pence was actually a guy who "got it" but just couldn't really do anything. In the early days I had wished that he was in charge instead of the other guy. But now I see that he's just part of that crowd. Just a politician.

Found this on the TheGuardian.com. He sounds like a 25 year old Australian but looks like a 14 year old Australian except for the tattoos and piercings. I don't really know what an Australian looks like I just guessed from the accent. Might be New Zealand. Anyway, it's a cooking video. p.s. NSFW

COVID-19
If only there was somebody, a group or organization, that could identify the differences between the various regions of the country, and create a plan to coordinate opening them all, with, also, the authority and the means to implement the plan. Too bad that doesn't exist...

Clutch Master Mounting Bolts Question
Thanks zKars. I had that worry. It was a lot of worry. Mine was a 76 and not much rust, a PO must have used the old bicep torque wrench on it. One of them still spun. I think I grabbed the end with some pliers to get the nut moving and managed to work it off. It was an unexpected pain.

COVID-19
It's odd how you keep overlooking the fact that staying within the capacity of the healthcare system saves lives. You should watch Governor Cuomo's morning briefings. He understands this and explains it very well, and is planning re-opening based on that principle. He has an actual long-term plan. A healthcare system that is at full capacity cannot care for any new patients, no matter what their problem. Car crashes, overdoes, assaults, etc. all get left outside because the system is full. The main point of flattening the curve is to have some capacity left for the rest of the patients. The alternative is to reject all of the COVID-19 patients because it's an inconvenience. Aside from the moral aspects, doctors have taken an oath, the Hippocratic oath, to take care of all patients. I can't really imagine a society where we're out and about, spreading disease, because we want to go see a movie or workout in the gym. I understand the economic reasons, working to produce the things we need to live, and things that can be produced at low risk. But trading lives for personal enjoyment is unimaginable. I guess it boils down the definition of harm and good.

Clutch Master Mounting Bolts Question
Can't remember for sure but I think that they are studs attached inside the firewall. I would lube them up with penetrant and be careful when loosening. I broke one loose from the firewall on either the brake master or clutch master and had to do some tricks to get it off and get it bolted back together. Not sure that you can reach it from the back. I might be wrong though. Maybe it's nuts attached to the firewall.

Won't go into gear
One of the threads in that search I linked has a picture of where to take the 92mm measurement. It's from the flywheel surface to the ears that the fork rides on. Set the sleeve on the pressure plate and measure. 92mm is not exact but if you get it it should work fine. It's kind of a "can't go wrong" number that many people have confirmed.

New carbs 4000 rpm start
You'd be surprised at how much air can get through that small gap around your throttle valve. I think you need to adjust those so that they're fully closed.

Won't go into gear
Make sure to confirm the height of your pressure plate and throwout sleeve stack. It's a big deal if it's wrong. https://www.classiczcars.com/search/?q=92mm

New carbs 4000 rpm start
That's what the butterflies are for (throttle valves). Something isn't fitting here. If the butterflies are "closed" then the microfiber should have no effect. Got a camera? Take a picture of a closed butterfly valve. p.s. the SU concept is unusual. The pistons only respond to engine vacuum. There is no control mechanism for them except vacuum. the throttle valve controls air flow, the pistons just respond to engine vacuum.

Datsun 260z low power issues
Check the simple things like making sure the throttle blades open all the way. You never know.

New carbs 4000 rpm start
How do you "starve the carbs" if the butterflies are already closed? Doesn't make sense. Unless a passage was left open that bypasses the butterflies. Sounding like an error in the rebuild.

There's only a bell curve if we stay "closed". "Opening" will change the curve.

A funny story that leads to a guy whose Tweets are worth reading, I think. The Australia view. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/27/australian-nobel-prize-winning-immunologist-accidentally-twitter-drink-dan-murphys https://twitter.com/ProfPCDoherty

Download the Owners Manual, it has a nice diagram on the last few pages. Might help. https://www.classiczcars.com/files/category/17-owner-manuals/ Or maybe this picture will have enough detail, it's copy of the page.

You could probably find a low miles Sportage in a wrecking yard. The seals peel off easily and can be reused. Probably cost $30.

COVID-19
This is surprising. The UK has a terrible death per capita ratio, along with France, considering that they are both "developed" countries with health care that is essentially socialized. The USA is at 167 today, but, of course, we're still early. Makes you wonder what the point of advanced "civilization" is.

Another "not a video" but I felt the need to share this. It might actually be relevant for some people. 5 second rule does not apply, I assume. https://www.healio.com/orthopedics/curbside-consultation/{5bc00bef-9d1a-4d21-80e3-f991436c361a}/what-do-you-do-if-you-dr

Here's another tracker. They have a Twitter thing also. It was put together by reporters and seems to have that"right now" style to it. Makes good "news" but not as useful as watching trends. Dramatic statements about what "just happened", followed by disclaimers. https://covidtracking.com/ https://twitter.com/COVID19Tracking?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1254519919925837824&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theguardian.com%2Fworld%2Flive%2F2020%2Fapr%2F26%2Fcoronavirus-us-latest-news-trump-birx-cuomo-updates

Datsun 260z low power issues
If these were mine and I knew how to make a Weber run richer I'd just go straight to that. Most carbs you'd just raise the main jet needle and it would get richer everywhere. Do that and if it gets more power you'll have a clue. It will probably stink like gas at cruise but you'll know how to solve the problem. There is a bunch of Weber stuff out there - https://www.racetep.com/manufacturer/carbs-and-injection/weber/weber-carb-tuning-and-technical-info/jetting-and-tuning-downdraft-and-sidedraft-weber-carbs.html p.s. pretty sure that the L26 engine has at least as much power as the L24. That was the whole point of increasing the displacement. I would avoid mechanics who make blanket statements like that guy above did. They usually don't know what they're talking about. And, you might have been just talking to some kid at the parts counter. Who knows. Edit 2 - and they, the 240Z and 260Z, had the same 0-60 times, 8.0 seconds. Since they didn't come with Webers it might just be that a PO's efforts to make more power had the opposite effect. Not uncommon.

People in a hurry... A Louisiana pastor held services at his church today in defiance of house arrest orders following an assault charge stemming from his decision to hold mass gatherings that flouted public health orders. The Associated Press reports:
