  1. That will depend on shipping, however easily under 50 bucks
  2. I have yet to install mine yet on my 260, However i have 1" lowered tokico's in my car and a 1" swaybar up front and 7/8" in the rear from suspension techniques. My 78 has a 7/8" up front with standard struts and springs and it helped alot.
  3. drecord... are you looking to get rid of the sunroof or perhaps a replacement? I have two. one is the split style and the other one is the typical pop up one.
  4. thats the one. I was thinking it said datsun-matic or something similar. I remember seeing it on the 240's as well as the other models. Similar to like the 2+2's.....they never had the model designation on the hatch, it said "DATSUN" in the traditional spot and underneath that it was simply "2+2"
  5. phew, I need two of the areas under the battery! If you can stamp this is out, I would buy stock!! how much is your hatch repair panel???
  6. Now've got me searching the entire net for a pic. My brain is leaning hard on it being an automatic designation. I forget the term datsun had for their automatics....
  7. I have actually seen many. The 280's in 77 had them on the left side that said "5 Speed" and I beleive the earlier cars that were automatics had an emblem designating this.
  8. 90% of my stuff is all craftsman and the rest is snap on. I really have stood behind all of craftsman;s stuff. there is nothing like their exchange policy and the price is just right for my budget.
  9. I've never heard of hit however here is a link carbomastic 15
  10. I'm right around the corner from you. I'm in Blairstown eixt 12, or exit 19 even off rte 80. Currently in the garage under restoration I have a 76 280, and an early 74 260. There;s a 78 2 seater in my driveway, and then I have one more 78 2+2 sitting in storage. Feel free to drop me an email or PM me! I'd be glad to come help you out, get rid of a couple cold ones, and swap some Z stories! If you're looking to swap your 2.4, let me know. I have several spare blocks laying around.
  11. Just out of curiousity, where in northern jersey are you located? I am about 30 minutes from the poconos!
  12. Just as an FYI, the 2+2 Doors are like the coupe, 74-76 doors have the early style latches on them and will not work on 77-78 cars unless you swap the entire latch mechanism.
  13. I Could have sworn I posted to this one however I just made it through all nine pages and did not see it. anyway, I am 28 and live in north west jersey with my live in GF, and three cats. I have 4 Z cars (early 74 260, 78 280, 78 280 2+2, and a 76 280), a 97 Explorer sport, and an 87 KX125. I have had a pilot;s license for about 5 years or so now (single engine land VFR), currently working on IFR as time and money allows. In addition to all of that I am a Sytems analyst with household int'l (now part of HSBC) and also am part of a concert promotional team putting on concerts here in the NW Jersey area. You can check out the link at create a vibe My role with those guys primarily focuses on Audio Recording and documenting all the shows we done so far.

I too tickle the ivories in front of a monitor all day as well..... so I 99% of the time post and lurk from here at work.
  15. Honestly, you can leave the rust and paint the POR right over it. It really does prefer to be painted right over the rust. I would certainly be filling any of the seams with a seam sealer to prevent water from getting in the joints and rusting from inside the joint. The repairs don't look bad at all. someone did take their time on those.
  16. Just picked up classic motorsports magazine (formerly British car) and there is a nice article on the 240. Classic Z cars was listed in the sources section!
  17. Auto Rust doctors in Bamber lake is the shop that did alot of Wick Humbles work. I happen to know of several credible garages if you choose this option. I belong to the NJ Z club and have many references. Let me know.
  18. I would need a change of underwear after that discovery. man i would soil myself!!

It would do that thing a world of good to get that vinyl off :classic:
  20. you forgot the rust spots underneath the drivers door. Its in the pic of the open drivers door showing the door panel. Rust spot in the drivers door jam around the data plate, oh and who the heck wants a "sticker" underneath the hatch emblem. An effin ball hitch....C'mon!
  21. you know all the good ones are on the other side of the US from me
  22. Well I know that we have gone round and round on this topic multiple times, what is the car worth..... Honestly the price range from 6-13K is not out of the question for this one, IMO. The car appears to be used regularly, verses one that has been sitting for years therefore needing a complete teardown to replace bushing, dry rotted brake lines, seized calipers, wheel cylindars, etc so that would increase the value. I guess its not so much what is the value of the car, however what is someone willing to pay for it. While 73's aren't the most valued or coveted Z car, it still is an extremely NICE example of a Z car and is def worth any price within that 6-13K range if someone is willing to pay that. I would make a list of the good and bad on the car to include in your ad. A maintenance history might help also.
  23. Very nice car! some pics of perhaps the floors and battery area may help move this one along. From the pic the car looks very very solid. a price might help too :classic:
  24. Just a follow up, only 10% of that list could be considered "Bootleg". The rest of the bands on that list are taper friendly with the strict rule that it is not to be profited from financially. I have close to 10 grand in equipment to perform this task so I do have some recordings that will bury and studio compiled disc. Things have come a long way since Re-Run lost his analog deck at the doobie brothers concert
  25. Darylick and everyone else for that matter....Any recording on my list is completely obtainable!! I haven't been able to run at the pace at I used to due to the amount of taping I have been doing and supplying the bands, promoter, and venue owner copies of everything I record but I find one or two free nights that I am not in the garage that I spend in the music room either burning trades or blank and postages for people. All you have to do is drop an email, I'm happy to spread the music :classic:
