  5. Let me know what yours look like. Is this as big a bargain as I think? I kinda like the 111's
  6. $49 each? What's the catch?
  7. No title http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2400924912&category=6187
  8. Porsche 944, Guards Red. Sigh. Course, my Passport went off so the trooper never found me by the time he turned around in the median.
  9. This looks a lot like mine except it has a white interior. Was that an option? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2400842503&category=6187
  10. The driver's side nearly came off in one piece....much easier than passenger. Did not find any in the hatch area.... Posted my new pics in gallery as it stands. Would you POR-15 the hatch area as well? What did you use for the seams along the floorboard by your feet? Whatever Datsun used came up in white pieces. Interested in your feedback..... Thanks

  16. Good work, Nigel. You're way ahead of me. 110F? Jesus Christ. No need for a heat gun there. Today it was 8F here. I need to get to Australia. Only like a 27 hour flight from here. Should we do anything special to the seams or just Por-15?

Sure you want to make a GT out of it? Assuming it is stock you may have a concours classic there. I've never seen one.

Register it and change the title, for sure. Otherwise, the old owner can claim all kinds of things once the restoration is done. Never invest in something in which you don't have the pink slip. at the BMW you can sign an affidavit noting it is not running and thus you won't have to buy a plate.
  19. How to tell if your arse is too small:
  20. Thanks for the tips. Tried that a bit...comes off in small pieces with the tap tap tap method. So far the heat gun is winning. Nothing in my phone book under ICE but I will make some calls.
  21. $815,000 and not yet met the reserve. wow.
  22. I'll bite....where does one obtain dry ice these days?
  23. I will try adding more heat....thanks for help
  24. Guys (and ladies) As you may know, I am currently in search of rust on my 71. I am scraping up the tar mat (so far just on passenger side) as we speak. A heat gun is helping, but still a PITA. Anyway, my plan is to get the floor completely stripped then POR-15 the heck out of it. What about the trans tunnel and the rear deck? I still have the diamond vinyl on the trans tunnel. Is it worth taking that all off and using POR-15 under that? I guess the removal is just the console then the vinyl? I have not even looked at the rear hatch area. Is it worth stripping that all down as well? Is there tar mat back there? (UGH) Current photos in my gallery as I scrape.
  25. If I ever get mine running, i won't be listening to the radio.... just the ENGINE!!! My hands hurt from scraping tar mat all night
