She's gotta go :(
Congratulations! Best news I've heard this week. It's good to know a Z owner gets to keep his car!

Just curious....
Now you see, I find that bizzare. I live in Covina in Southern California, and I see anywhere from 1 to 3 every day. And I'm talking first generation here. I would rather the car be more rare around here, so as to make mine a rare sight for others. But for me, I like seeing other Z's. My car's been garaged/in the shop since I got it a couple of months ago, so I haven't really been able to tell how much attention it attracts. I hope it's a lot when I get her out, she's got a great paint job. (Plus, as you see in my avatar, she can fly) =)

Where are the girls??.
I think people scared them off with the constant come-ons. I'm surprised Darbji is still here with all of the "flattering remarks" people leave.

valve cover painting designs
Alright, you guys, he was just joking, and the arguing about what he said is turning into way more than it needs to. You all need to calm down and stop overanalyzing. It's disappointing to see Z owners turning on eachother over a joke. Or anything, for that matter. We don't come here for that.

I need an answer in the next 40 minutes! HELP
Thanks, sounds good to me. I guess I'll let the man do his thing. You guys rock! Thanks everyone!

I need an answer in the next 40 minutes! HELP
So it sounds like I should maybe let him do it? The price for that amount of work is reasonable? And how important is it that I get that fixed?

I need an answer in the next 40 minutes! HELP
My mechanic just called and he's just about done fixing the timing and a few other things on my 78, but he says he wants to replace the exhaust manifold gasket at the engine because there's a leak. I've known about this, it's nothing big, but he wants 300 dollars to replace it! Is that a little much? He usually gives me decent prices for his work, but this sounds like he's getting a little greedy. Should I bring her home and do it myself? How much should I pay him to do it? I need to know right now, because I need to call him to cancel the work, otherwise he's going to fix it.

Happy new member.
Welcome to the club, she looks great! Glad you got a good deal on her. Hey, I'm from Bellingham, haven't been up there in about 15 years, I was very young, about 10, when I lived there. I've been wanting to move back, but I just got married and my wife has a strong aversion to moving into a town where it actually snows. So I'm stuck in LA until I can convince her to move. Again, great looking Z, I'm sure you've begun a life long obsession with the Z, but it happens, dont fight it!

Little Johnny
That's horrible but hilarious!

Is this a joke?
Authentic or not, 400 dollars will get me a brand new set of tires on my Z. To spend that much on an old spare would be ridiculous.

260z body same as 280z?
I read that the 71 has some styling changes to the rear hatch and some stuff directly around it, but the everything is the same, as far as body, I think. Not sure of the year, but it was early 240 for that change.

1978 Console Removal
I have a 78, but my console was from a 76. are there any screws inside the ash tray in the back, or the cigarette ash holder in the middle?

Anyone want's to meet up this weekend?
Sounds great, I'm in the 626 as well, but my Z is in the shop for another week. Maybe we could set up another weekend also?

Welcome to the club. Don't worry, the site gets easier to navigate after a few visits. Any pics of the Z?

Sup guys
Welcome to the club. Looks like you've got a lot of work ahead of you! Keep us posted with pictures if you can. What color are you planning for her?

New guy/ Old man
Yeah, welcome. But I'm sure you'll be able to answer a few questions about the Z for us, too. Any pictures of the car that you can put up?

1970 260Z?? (Stamp) in Austrailia
That must be a typo. Maybe the stamp is fake? That's kind of an obvious mistake to make on something that's real. Just my opinion. It looks real other than that, though, but then again, some counterfeit dollars look real except for some typos, same with fake checks. As a detective, I've seen the words "Bank of America" spelled wrong on fake checks more times than you'd think.

LS1 Swap into 240Z
I asked a similar question, half the people told me to stay stock, the other half pointed me out of this forum and into another one: hybridz.org.

New guy saying Hello (79' Fairlady RH Drive)
First thing first, we need pictures! Right hand drive will raise the value, I think, but Beandip is right, there are quite a few ZXs around. I think it would definitely be a nice car to drive around once you get it fixed, but don't expect to try and sell it for more than it costs to fix it. I personally prefer the right hand drive, simply because of it's rarity, but my left hand drive 78 is great, too. You might get lucky and sell it to someone right now before you fix it, but once you put money into it, you should try and keep it. Just my opinion.
