Thanks! It seems my S30 wasn't as close to the end of production as I thought. Mine starts with 444, I believe, manufactured in Jan of 78. I think production ceased in June of that same year. ....I wonder if we can track down the last S30. Hmmmm....Maybe worth something?

hMM? That seems extremly low. I think my vin on my 280Z is much higher. Maybe you're referring to the last 240Z manufactured? I could stand corrected.

Question: Anyone know the vin# for the very last S30 ever produced?
  4. IMO the silver 240 looks pretty sweet for a low vin Z. Unmolested, body seems straight, and interior looks decent. I would offer him 5K CASH, if you have it...... Although 7.2K isn't that bad. This is a diamond in the rough.
  5. Check this one out. Looks nice, but few details. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/car/456384559.html
  6. ......Wow, I totally missed that thread during my absence. Ummmmm......I won't set foot back in that kitchen and "stir up any stew" as Jason put it. Er, umm.....maybe I'll see some of you there if I go.
  7. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/car/457014004.html ...Eagle Rock is between Pasadena and Glendale, north of Downtown LA.
  8. I noticed the LA skyline draped in this puple haze this morning on the way to work. This time it isn't the smog.......unfortunately.
  9. ouch! Well, good thing you're OK. A friend of mine went over a cliff in his 72 240 and landed in a tree upsidedown. He walked away with only a few scratches. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you.
  10. Great story. Rivals a couple of mine.
  11. Question: According to your list of cars, I see three Z's. Which one was totalled?
  12. .......$^!#. Well, I'm 5'7 so.................perhaps I'm speaking to a smaller audience than I figured.
  13. There's plenty of leg room. :cheeky: Just watch out for the parking brake. That can get in the way.
  14. I'm all the way up here in Los Angeles, and my allergies are kicking in, I believe from the fires. Good luck to you.
  15. .....OK, who has? :cheeky:
  16. Looks decent from the pictures, and the price sounds right. You may want to ask him further about the mileage, anything rebuilt, and why he's selling it.

I'd hit Craig's list and check out Vegas, and other citiies. Stay on that site alone for a while and you'll find something. That is if you are not willing to travel too far. That's its advantage as opposed to E-bay and such.
  18. ...Sort of an erie Z32 spotting, but anyone recall the red one on fire at the Pentagon on 9/11? It was in this one picture. The red 300ZX was parked in proximity of the attack.
  19. .....Oh, I did however install the rear bumper this weekend, all myself. Piece of cake. Now I won't have to hide the rear anymore from friends.
  20. I love what this thread (that I started) is turning into. Wow, I created a bra-less monster.
  21. The current color combo reminds me of a Ferrari. Looks cool to me, but I do like the green / tan package as well.
  22. Sorry about your loss. How long did you have her for? .....Bright side: Maybe we can help you look for a new one. I live in Pasadena. Lemme know what you might be looking for.......of course after you're done grieving over your last one then I'm sure you'll be ready.
  23. How random but...............Cool! Wonder if it's a turbo. The first Z I ever test drove was a 280ZX. $400 was the asking price, and boy did it look like its price too. Yeah, had to pass on it.
