  1. .....It's all a matter of e-pinion. I hope users on here can see past your "no apologies" stance in this arena. To simply enter a discussion under the guise of "you're wrong" is a little bold. I understand and even respect your points. Honestly those thoughts did cross my mind too. We are all eager to see the value of our cars increase over time. But c'mon, the points that others have been making are quite valid too. A little respect goes further than the hopes that a 260Z will actually sell for 20K. In the end our cars will be worth 20K, but for the time being you cannot deny that these days that is a tough sell.
  2. I actually had him in mind. Perhaps.
  3. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/car/463392791.html ...found in the Socal area....78 280Z $600
  4. Awesome! Great job on the car too!!!
  5. 1 offer was declined. I was taught to shop smart.
  6. ..So how much does this conversion cost?
  7. ....I stumbled upon an ad on craig's list the other day claiming that this 240Z for sale had cruise control. I e-mailed the guy asking about this and he said that the previous owner added it. Is this rubbish? Anyone else done this to their S30? Very curious, not that I would. I barely use it on the 300ZX.
  8. ...Just for the record Sunrise Z is more than OK. About a year ago ownership was changed, and believe me, that has made a HUGE difference.
  9. I've got Burbank, and Pasadena covered.....LA for that matter. Sorry about the news.

Awesome article, I agree. It's about time.
  11. Yeah, it's a Z, but please. For a 260Z in that shape.....maybe 5K - 10K at the most.
  12. Out here in Los Angeles is quite possibly another dreamer? http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/car/459908615.html
  13. Great idea! Still gotta keep it quiet though. One time my ex and I were in a rich residential neighborhood doing it in the Datsun. A few minutes later we parked in an alley in Pasadena and had another round. Good times!
  14. ....Don't know if you are willing to drive out to Glendale, but I recommend Sunrise Z. I've been going there for years. They know what's up. Art and Mike are the nicest guys to deal with. Very knowledgable. Sunrise Z 420 W Broadway Glendale, CA 91204 (818)240-1594......tell em' Andy Smith sent ya!!
  15. Also, I just spotted this that is quiet interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Conceptz.jpg Revise the looks a bit, slap in an Inline-6 and I think that it would be a decent ride. Yes, they were SORT of onto something back then. I'm glad they abandoned the gutless 4 cylinder idea. It would be nice if they brought back the straight six.
  16. .....The real Flying Feather?
  17. .....Could you post some pictures of the Jag? I know it's not a Z, but it did have several styling cues for the 240.
  18. Damn! Keep us posted.

Thanks! It seems my S30 wasn't as close to the end of production as I thought. Mine starts with 444, I believe, manufactured in Jan of 78. I think production ceased in June of that same year. ....I wonder if we can track down the last S30. Hmmmm....Maybe worth something?

hMM? That seems extremly low. I think my vin on my 280Z is much higher. Maybe you're referring to the last 240Z manufactured? I could stand corrected.

Question: Anyone know the vin# for the very last S30 ever produced?
  22. IMO the silver 240 looks pretty sweet for a low vin Z. Unmolested, body seems straight, and interior looks decent. I would offer him 5K CASH, if you have it...... Although 7.2K isn't that bad. This is a diamond in the rough.
  23. Check this one out. Looks nice, but few details. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/car/456384559.html
