  1. I am building some highly detailed models of classic JDM cars. Mid 70's skyline and a Japanese 240Z. Both kits have the S20 DOHC motor. I also ordered two sets of 1/24 scale Watanabe wheels. One set deep dish and one set normal. This way I car do staggered on both kits. Please post pix of these JDM cars but more specifically, the engine both in and out of the S30 cars. High res pics of the engine alone would be terrific, but I am having trouble finding them. I want to get proper colors for the block, trans, and front covers etc. I will be doing linkages, wiring and hoses etc. If anyone is interested in a replica of their specific cars for a fee, please let me know. I have building models for 20+ years. Thanks, Brandon
  2. Here are just a few pix. I didn't take as many as I like as the lighting wasn't very good. I got as many as I could of Eiji's car. Amazing!!!! My pops white 70 took 1st and the Green 72 took 3rd. The silver S30 is the pix took 2nd. Fortunately Eiji did not enter his car in the show <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1682344749/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2211/1682344749_a44e295b60_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_6344" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1682354301/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2019/1682354301_553ea77c54_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_6346" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1683175796/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2321/1683175796_9aeb362c8c_b.jpg" width="1024" height="507" alt="IMG_6287" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1683180774/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2045/1683180774_ab9e18730f_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_6299" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1682315507/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2224/1682315507_5313bef221_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_6330" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1682340071/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2407/1682340071_a801a9b001_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_6324" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1682335465/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2345/1682335465_bea31a8941_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_6364" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1682397303/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2212/1682397303_d79eaaf8ef_b.jpg" width="1024" height="774" alt="IMG_6337" /></a>
  3. This is the son.... I do wish he would put watanabes on as they are my fav. The tires are 225/50/16
  4. You're not kidding......... He did a fabulous job (everything to perfection) and he's first class as a person too! I stay in touch and hope if he's back East he'll stop by to see all my toys. Guy
  5. No....... The green 72 has it's own Panasports (and so will the Safari Gold 71). The tires are 225-50-60 . They seem to fill the wells the best. My son wants me to move up to the W.N.s on the next restoration. but he's not putting up the bucks (but he does take a damn good picture). Pops
  6. It is very similar to the 72 green car. This one was restored by the previous owner who is a member. It is stock except for the spoiler and wheels. The car is immaculate!!! Here is a link to all the Z photos. http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/sets/72157600346077563/
  7. Here are some new pix of the latest Z to the collection. 1970 Upgrades since the purchase include 16" panasports and the BRE spook front spoiler. BTW, I posted a request looking for a rear driver side quarter. I guess the thread was towed to body and paint. I figured there would be better response here since this is has the highest traffic. Please respond of you have one or no where one is. It's for the 71 restoration. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1572997366/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2161/1572997366_e63e3a2b62_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_5777" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1572110493/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2287/1572110493_4967d2bfdc_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_5780" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1572998114/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2307/1572998114_b76c638331_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_5770" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1573004178/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2172/1573004178_7dbe4e53ee_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_5742" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1572114721/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2156/1572114721_5e40c5e965_b.jpg" width="779" height="1024" alt="IMG_5793" /></a>
  8. Looking for a nice driver rear quarter. One without rust or damage. Please PM me if you have or no where I can find one. I am in the midst of a full restoration on my 71' and found out that the rear quarter has been replaced in the past. Not very well either. This car is going to be perfect and I want all the work to be done right!!! I am in Richmond VA and would like to find something in the midatlantic area.
  9. The BRE spook from motorsports fits like a glove. It is on both the finished Z's. Will be on the third when finished
  10. The interior is nice! We've got a 98% dash to install and it'll be like new. Guy
  11. Gotcha! Thanks Guy
  12. Did'nt see anything there Mike. Guy
  13. Looking for front driver side hood apron attached to same frame rail(the inside fender with shock tower) for my 1971 restoration. It needs to be in good condition as this is going to be 100% restoration. Also the Tabco dog legs I purchased from Motorsports come up short on the rear rocker panel seams. Does anyone have OEM dog legs or rear arches for a 71? Thanks Guy
  14. It's a BRE type "Spook" from Motorsports (cost 109.95 plus S&H) GUY
  15. BRE with ducts from motorsport. BTW, this car is the 72. The white one is a 70 and the safari gold is a 71. My bad
  16. I am the one taking pix.... It is my fathers car. We both log on and add to the forum.
  17. Thanks!!! 19. My rear brakes hang up when I park my 72 z. When I drive it there seems to be aslight drag at low speeds. Any ideas (I've adjusted the shoes with no success) Do I need to replace wheel cylinders ?
  20. Don't know why the pix in the beginning of the thread dissapeared?????
  21. The Z's are my pops. If you like thos photos, check out the ones I took of my car. http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/sets/72157600346688189/ Indeed, this is the car from eBay. It is amazing. The only problems seem to be some proneness to chipping with the Urethane exterior paint, and the passenger side mirror. The engine bay is superb and the car drives, feels, and smells like a new car. My pops loves the panasports. I like them too, but if I had my way, they would be watanabes. Great news on the sfari gold 71 we are restoring..... He is keeping it safari gold instead of silver!!!!! Here are a few of the bay <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/765362995/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1319/765362995_fab8c00287.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_2604" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/766235250/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1167/766235250_2dfa855f17.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_2615_2" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/766235220/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1247/766235220_a570bc13dc.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_2614_2" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/765362545/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1411/765362545_c573110894.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_2600_2" /></a>

  23. My pops just got an absolutely perfect white 70' for $15k. It is the nicest one I have ever seen. He also has a flawless 72 in the green. He paid $12 for that one. It had a $10k painjob on it. Only flaws were completely original engine bay and sub-par dash. He has since purchased a perfect dash and we rebuilt the motor and repainted the bay in his garage. Check out this thread on his cars to see what you can get for $15k or under. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27221
