  1. I always value your opinion Madkaw......thanks for pushing me over the edge in regards to FI......Time to step up to new technology......it is twice the cost of carbs......maybe I’ll start a go fund me L series motor!
  2. Eiji is building the bottom end.....I’m building the top end. I’ve built 18 to 20 L series motors by myself, but Eiji does it so well. BTW....You are talking me into FI Madkaw.....sounds like the way to go......can’t wait. Never had crank fire ignition either.....moving on up!
  3. What’s up Jeff? Haven’t decided yet.....I want to drive Eiji’s with FI first, but he thinks that’s the way to go. It’s a real budget buster, but some things you just have to muscle up to the table....especially since my son Brandon is trying to out do the old man with his RB powered Z31.
  4. Sure is Jeff...not my engine though....Eiji’s, but something to think about....
  5. Eiji’s new manifold for ITB..........beautiful!
  6. I don’t notice any difference from my other Z’s in my Stroker with the Maxima diesel crank.
  7. Anxious to hear the RB motor at 9 grand. I guess he’ll have to head down to Dinwiddie with me and Eiji to see what they all do in the 1/4 mile when I finish my new Stroker this Spring. It’s gonna be a blast. Also hope it’ll be finished for ZCON next Fall! It’s gonna be a really good convention this year....right Steve?
  8. As of today, it is now going to be a 3.1 Stroker.....exactly the same specs as the last Stroker except for some side draft carbs. Eiji has started on the block already....he also has the pistons and rods.....240 mm flywheel and a stock turbo clutch. The last stage I clutch wears me out lol.
  9. Went by to check out a nice restoration on my friend Woody’s early Series One. Not a bit of rust in this car.
  10. I'm pretty sure Zcar Depot sells the clutch hard lines. BTW....I hope you installed the brass bushing in the rear of the crank for the tranny output shaft. The auto cars didn't have one installed. I didn't install a pedal stop on either of my two auto conversions....no problem. You do need to check pedal play distance....can't recall what that was....somewhere between 7 and 8 inches if I recall.
  11. Prepped and ready.....
  12. Mitch....If you don’t come to ZCON next year, I’m gonna be upset! Cliff and I need a designated driver!

Now that’s some beautiful jewelry......I think my wife said she would like jewelry for Christmas!

Sorry Patcon....I don’t remember much about the linkage other than it wasn’t a problem.....pretty much worked with what was there. NVZEE is right about the overflow. I fired up a new Z engine once....some trash had the float valve stuck open. I sometimes fire up a new engine with open headers....that time I didn’t....lucky, it dumped quite a bit of gas into the air cleaner and onto the floor. I always hook up all exhaust before firing up now. BTW....I do remember that I built the engine with an L18 block and crank. L18 cranks are fully counter balanced...not so the L16’s....plus they are bigger It was a fun little car....one of those you wish you hadn’t sold.

I restored this 72 510 back in the 80’s. I was able to purchase the SSS Head, manifold and carbs from my local dealer. I never noticed any special markings on the carbs. I just assumed they would be the same carbs as the 1600’s or 240Z with different jets maybe. The head was what was special.
  16. Backup lights maybe?
  17. I think this may help.
  18. Good decision moelk. I think Z’s look great with the rear spoiler. I’ll post my silver car when it’s installed.
  19. Andreas... It’s in the body shop for a new rear spoiler. Should be out soon....then to my friend’s dyno....I’m anxious to see what it does. Will post as soon as I have the numbers...will video the run. Guy
  20. Very happy......still running SU’s. The engine is a torque monster!
  21. Had to do it again......gonna build another Stroker for the green 72. Will start after the first of the year.....it’ll be a 3.0.
  22. I always look forward to your projects Hardway.....hope you come to Atlanta next year!
  23. Great toys and a great history with your toys Jerry. May we all never grow up!!!
  24. No Cliff....shaved .080, but the valves are .080 taller, so when you shim up the towers and springs, everything comes up as stock.
