MSA is selling reproductions at $369/pr, but they are on backorder for a couple of more weeks. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic08h02a01/40-2096 They also offer a discount to members of http://www.classiczcars.com

Yeah...it's not my first color of choice, but it might be his:

And while arguing with us on a price you feel comfortable with, the vehicle will be sold to someone else who's more decisive.

Why are you posting the same question again from last Friday??? Let's cut to the chase and please tell us what answer you are truly looking for.

Another vote for Hagerty! I was paying USAA over $281 dollars annually for a 29 year old motorcycle that I might put 500 miles a year on at most. Hagerty covered it for $55 bucks a year.

Looks good in the picture. How difficult was it to remove the carburetor gaskets and long black seals? I'm going to do the same thing with mine, but spray clear over the decals to prevent peeling.
  8. The gavel fell on this one for a cool $36,000 on BaT. http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1976-datsun-280z-3/
  9. You won't find it there. The exterior color code is a foil decal on the radiator support. As for the interior color, there is no identifier.
  10. Even this very lightly modified 280Z is bringing good money on BaT: http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1976-datsun-280z-3/
  11. Sold for $29,250. That's pretty good coin for a restomod.
  12. Probably serious bidders are laying low ready to pounce in the seconds of the auction.
  13. This document denotes part numbers for left and right: http://www.jdmjunkies.ch/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/240Z-S30-factory-dampers-and-options-by-www.JDMjunkies.ch_.pdf Right 55302-E7213 Left 55303-E7213
  14. My very first 240Z when at 16 years old was the same color. It had vinyl roof and was an automatic The car looks to be in very good order. Not the most desirable color, but the modifications are tastefully executed. I suggest looking at what comparable 240Zs sold for on Bring a Trailer, and base your selling price accordingly. http://bringatrailer.com/search/240z/ In fact, you may want to consider placing the car up for auction on BaT. It will get good exposure and the scrutiny from a knowledgeable community.
  15. I agree! And spare parts should be cheap and plentiful

For starters, I would invest in one of these: http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=stethoscope From the sound of it, there could be a loose component like a exhaust heat shield causing the noise. I had a mystery rattle at around idle to about 2,000 rpm from the engine bay of my Honda. It turned out to be the plastic grommet broke loose from the base of my hood prop rod that attached to the fender.

#10 answers the reason for the unoccupied stripper pole in the showroom. The "hostess" must have been in back with a customer showing off the aftermarket options package.
  18. I wouldn't accept the car if given to me for the mere fact that both air cleaner wingnuts are not in the 3 and 9 o'clock position
  19. Here are few photos of another example from the MSA show in 2002. If memory serves me correctly, the car was for sale for around 22-24K

Take a look at the pedals for excessive wear, especially the clutch. The automotive equivalent of looking at a horse's teeth to determine its age.
  21. I'm not OCD enough to overly examine and find fault with the vehicle To me, the story of a gentleman being rewarded for a lifetime of helping others by restoring something he cherished is what I took away from watching it. Regardless whether it is a 240Z or a Yugo.
  22. I saw this episode about six month ago.
  23. この「サーフアイランダース」は、阿部氏の声掛けて近年再結成され、ライブ活動をされているとのこと。 Nissan had a house band called the "Young Nights" that would play at corporate parties? That would have been quite the sight
  24. I'm assuming the person who came up with the ad was thinking a Datsun Z would be an more ominous presence than an AMC Pacer.
  25. They pop up on eBay often. Check there. Also... Here's a link for a new recreation: http://www.cafepress.com/+datsun_license_plate_frame,1674835905?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=pla-google&utm_campaign=640267615-d-c&utm_content=27654325330-adid-93474800290&utm_term=pla-70877483050-pid-1674835905
