  1. Who's that?

  3. HAHA, Very cool info all Right you are Mont and Alan. Didn't mean to imply something was wrong, it just backed up the old, "I thought I saw everything", saying for me. American Muscle Car on Nippon Track etc etc and thought it all a unique combination of things. Even learned of a new driver namded Sakai Indeed, All that history in just one badge Wait a minute, how this Happen, 1,000th POST ! ~Z~
  4. Sad indeed, his cars came out Tight, never saw one I really didn't like. Prayers to the family and friends. :disappoin ~Z~
  5. HAHA, Thats True ~_^ I was wondering who would get that Seen that symbole in lots of different places to which I was suprised, but never on a race car. My Uncle once told me Hitler or the Nazis stole that symbole from one of the African peoples and fliped it in reverse. He also said that the original symbole of those particular peoples was supossed to mean LOVE. Athough I haven't read that for myself yet, ...nor tryed to look OK, an American car, in Japan, driven by a Japaness driver,... wheres the connection to Sanskrit? Ain't that Aribic? The story on that Cobra keeps getting weirder / intersting, you'd figure the Muscle car guys, like Barrett Jackeson and such, would be deep on the info for this APEX of all muscle cars. But Alan comes through as always ~Z~
  6. Heres some more I forgot I had to post since your looking for pictures. Extra Pictures are at the coresponding links 1~http://s170.photobucket.com/albums/u280/Wingzr0/ANSA%20L/ 2~http://s170.photobucket.com/albums/u280/Wingzr0/ANSA%20m/ AND 3~ No link.. These were also sold recently to other Z owners. I also have one with the side by side dual tips pointing up at an angle like on todays tuner cars but have'nt snap a pic of it yet. ~Z~
  7. I just signed up for a IZCC number! I'll register Ruby 10/76 when my information arrives by email. ~Z~
  8. Your one of few people I know to actually say that, to my surprise none of you cought flak. I never painted a car so I admittedly know nothing .
  9. Smog Check, Bad Being able to sup up your ride without smog, Priceless. I'm with what others so far have said, but after driving a rentel car since having my 280Z 4 speed I find myself hitting the floorboard with my clutch foot! Automatics are now boring to me ~z~ :rambo:
  10. Thyanx Bkelly I'm flattered ! Heres all the ones I collected and sold in the past. Bkelly has the Double Barrel Shotgun looking one with rolled lip, (VERY VERY NICE STYLE ) only seen 2 of those ever and both were NOS, so very rare IMO http://classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25475&highlight=sell+ansa And Twin Stack style Link -> http://s170.photobucket.com/albums/u280/Wingzr0/ANSA%20RESONATOR%201970s%20NOS%20%20%20Slash%20Cut%20Twin%20Tip/ Heres how a Twin Stack Slash Cut Tip style, (TSSCT), looks on a 240Z. The pic was posted by another member who had a question about trying to find the rims :rambo:
  11. Does Air Hockey count ? Sweet though 'n Right On!, You join a team ?
  12. Yeah I like to see the Red badge above your Yellow badge. And the White badge to the left of the Red Badge also. Very cool KATS :classic: ~Z~
  13. I was thinking the same thing, lots of great info always Alan. Didn't know one of the 6 Cobras did Fuji, but is that a Swastika on that car? :stupid: ~Z~
  14. Is the Silver wire part inside the boot ends supposed to stick down into the rotor cap plug holes that the boots plugs into, or hover around the top of it when the boots is pluged onto the cap. The Silver wire parts slide back up into the boots all the way when plugging them onto the rotor cap. Is the connection still good the way they are now or should the Silver wires go down into the plug holes all the way as well. My wires are Napa Brand ~Z~
  15. How about these Z scout? They were supposedly for the Z432 or at least according to some auctions on YJ. Don't know what Z had them as stock or a option though. Either way they look nice and have that stock look and you can find some here There also another variation FYI. http://www.zccjdm.com/ ~Z~
  16. I agree, May be something else besides power plant, that tripple Mikuni should be Flying. Figure for instance the Cat who owned it before your brother, sold it because of something not disclaimed in the auction making it "slow". From here it looks fine but is the clutch slipping or any unsual sounds hinting of something wrong or strange during you test drive, anything minor at all? It may also be a good idea to see what your cam specs are, i.e. stock or performance specs. If that owner did all this work with the Mikunis but didn't upgrade the cam to the proper Duration and Lift needed for all that Tri Carb Air then that could throw some things off IMHO. Sounds crazy I know but then again I wouldn't of thought that some one would rebuild a Fuel Injected 280Z L28 N42 engine block and N47 cylinder head, (paint it and all that), back to brand new condition only to reassemble it using a 240Z gasket kit which is for carborated Z's :dead: Basicaly that (my) engine needs to be rebuilt again, and thats how I got it from my previous owner unbeknowest to me:surprised That engine problem also Codded, (killed), the clutch. So some times it's that "one" "thing" which can throw off the whole ride. For additional carnage read here. Link ->http://classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28356&highlight=wrong+intake+gasket Link ->http://classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28830&highlight=state+things Other than that cam idea I'm glad to see you making such quick progress! That engine bay is looking CLEAN already ~Z~
  17. Agreed. Cool it's in a movie though. ~Z~
  18. Yep your right. Mine does the same thing and has the same engine troubles and also down #4 cylinder, about 1/3rd the way down on the accelerator yields no more acceleration. The speed just increases at steady rate from there, not sluggish but not racey either. Well enough to get along in traffic and left by a Granny Mobile  :hurt: I can floor it and still no change in speed increase. ~Z~
  19. Good luck to ya Bro I know your stoked. Follow the above advice and you cant go wrong. ~Z~
  20. Alright ! Ghetto Car :rambo: Your a prime candidate for 22's courtesy of member Turbo240 ~Z~
  21. Yeah I know a Z in my nieghborhood that could use these.
  22. The back underside looks better than the front I believe is what he's saying. Yo Surf, was the front half of the Z nosed in a mud hole or puddle by chance? Seems like the engine block appears to have a water line where the corrosion ends or (comes up to) about the top of the oil filter. Actually where did you find it, that might help? ~Z~
  23. I just went through your photo bucket pics Mr. Fujistubo aka Fire Medic. Thats a great list you posted there EScanlon, thats one for the to do books for sure. Not sure if this was mentioned but get a shop to replace that inner hatch panel to shore up the structual integrity in the back. Not sure simply using POR will work as you need rigidity there. Thats about the only major rust I saw. Other than that it's looking solid :rambo:. ~Z~
  24. Freakin Night Rider Thayt Awesome, No wonder they almost went with it than the Trans Am. ~Z~
  25. Well your dash looks in better condition than most and steering wheel is NICE My suggestion is NOS Parts, start with center counsel for about $180 cheap, Shift leather boot, E-brake handle and boot (saw NOS set on ebay but don't know the part numbers) Dome light, and all new interrior vinyle should wrap up the inside cosmestics You can get NOS door panels on YJ for about $400 to $800 so at least you know they're out there. What color scheme and rims you going with? ~Z~
