Not ashamed to say I'm from Alabama finally after a month of head hung low in shame. Trump loses again! I'm back! Thank you all for not painting me with that same s h I t y brush. Cliff

The 1st Amendment of our Constitution expresses a separation of church and state. We have this nut, Roy Moore that has defied that his whole career. He loses again and again, rejects our Federal Judge's orders and makes a fool out himself. It's very well known around here he uses the Bible to benefit himself. Well he LOST an election, again yesterday. I'm done, back to the Zs.

Sunroof= opens to the air/sun for daytime fun. Moonroof=glass partition to atmosphere/night sky without opening ability T-roof= transition roof, transitions from sunroof to moonroof with installation of glass panels. Hole over your head= redneck attempt at a sunroof....

I think what Cliff was referring to was a little deeper than politics, more of an assault on Southern Heritage and Values. At least that was the feeling I gotten from many folks around me on both sides. Kinda' like when your certified crazy relative gets on TV. You fear everyone will think you are just like them. Hmmmm......Maybe that's why all my kids don't want to be seen with me out in public.

Being a Veteran, I lean certain ways on some issues. However I much disliked both candidates this last Election. I am an equal opportunity disliker. I do like Guns though!!!
  8. I couldn’t let that one roll away... had to park a joke in there somewhere!

I have a lot of friends on this board and they come from all over the country. I would dare say we don't all agree on politics. It would probably be best if this doesn't get introduced on the forum. It won't benefit anyone. It will only create division...

I think I saw a post on here, or on HybridZ, from someone removing a sunroof very much like that. Looked very factory. But as far as I know, Zs simply were not available with a sunroof. I think you've got your terms backwards here. That's a sunroof. A moon roof is typically tinted glass like you see on a lot of newer cars.
  11. Station 1 is 0.099 for (British) SM's vs. 0.095 for N-27's etc. (Hitachi). SM's wouldn't work on my L24. Too lean at low end under load. Had to set mix nuts 3 1/2 turns down or it would go lean and stall out leaving a stop sign. Then it would be too rich at mid-range and foul the plugs. Might be OK for L28 though. Maybe OK for L24 with oversize nozzles (if stock needles are too lean).
  12. Thanks all for the very good advice but....... I found a car some time ago on Ebay. Turned out to be very solid with very little rust, complete and original. It's number 509. I was fully aware that it needed a full restoration but that's what I was looking for. I did buy the car sight unseen , I know, a big, big no, no. I'm very pleased with the car and so far no surprises. I'm starting to tear the car down including glass and upholstery, pull the engine and have it rebuilt. Do what ever mechanicals it needs then send the shell to my friend who does excellent body and paint work. Then it's a matter of putting it back to together. I've done a few other cars like this ( I have 8 Studebakers). So, I will be very busy this winter in the garage. I can get around to send some pictures soon. Thanks again
  13. Just a few quick pics. Got the hood and some decals on.
  14. If I was single, I would be doing the same. Being married, the wife takes first priority, so things are moving a little slower than i would like. Since she let's me accumulate the cars, I am (almost) OK with that.
  15. Got the fenders placed on the car. Will align and secure those tomorrow. Starting to look nice here.
  16. Got the exhaust and intake manifold installed. Threw on the air cleaner just for pics. Picked up the radiator from the repair shop and attached it, but not very happy with the radiator shop paint job. Will probably remove it and clean up some of the drips and solder remnants, then re-paint. Will have to get some of Jay's braided hose and some nice wire clamps next. Will also get the master cylinder and clutch master in shortly, then I think I will be ready for the fenders. Pics below.
