  1. up until 2 hours ago, i couldnt see the ridge that is only 1/2 mile away because of all the smoke that has been hanging around for the past 3 weeks. life is good again
  2. Vinyl tops and sun roofs on Z's fall into that category of, "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should."
  3. Thanks for your response siteunseen. Yes it does have a trunk. Holds the spare with additional space for storage.
  4. That's a good idea. Don't take any left turns at more than 2 miles per hour though.
  5. random thought random thought. after driving around the block, try opening the gas cap, is there a rush of air into the tank? heck, try driving without the cap. if the cap is bad, the tank may be in a vacuum not letting the pump do its job
  6. +1! i dont care what it is off of, i just want something that will fit the car, and the storage spot
  7. Can confirm, best option out there. Prior to his work there wasn't a good system for mounting 240 bumpers on a 260 and even now the other systems are just copies of his work.
  8. Oh yes, I DO know...I am a moron! First one went in too far because I was being proactive and moving it slightly to deal with wear patterns, second one was installed crooked, third one replaced #2 same time...then still got it in too far. Fourth time's a charm I hope. Putting this down on here reminded me that it was actually replaced 4 times, not 3. So I'm an even bigger moron than I had at first thought. I had hoped that as I got older I would learn my life lessons the first time. Sigh. The PVC cap really did work well as a seal setter...lined it up perfectly...a few taps with a hammer got it right where it was supposed to have gone in the first place. Cheers, Mike
  9. They changed a whole bunch of sheet metal all over the car in 77, including that rear area. And because of that, the 77/78 situation is more complicated. For your 75, you've got all sorts of options. "Help me I'm missing something!" Rust? You're missing rust, right?
  10. I have a big brake kit on my car (the Arizona Z kit) and as a result the standard 14 inch spare tire rim would not fit over them. I carried around a portable inflator for a while but never really liked that solution. I ended up getting a mini spare from a 2010 Nissan Sentra that worked perfectly. It's the right bolt pattern and fits over the big brakes. It's 125-70-16 and fits perfectly in the spare tire hole. Easy to find them on eBay. I think I paid about $50 shipped. Hope that helps. Mike.
  11. I'm thinking the mid 90s Sentra has the same lug nut pattern if you can't get an OE 280 spare. @Captain Obvious Knows for his '77. Can't remember what year you have though. Looks like a full size after a second look. You could try googling that. I've read a lot of substitutes over the years.
