  1. I wouldn't accept the car if given to me for the mere fact that both air cleaner wingnuts are not in the 3 and 9 o'clock position
  2. Yes, it would. But if my daily driver was a $70,000 car, what would my "fun" car be? Dennis
  3. That car would certainly be one of the world's most beautiful daily drivers! Being restored as a daily driver explains for the minor items we noted.
  4. Anyone know of a real #1 or #2 Condition - aka Concours Quality 240Z being offered For Sale for $50K or less today. Please point it out. Any top Condition #3 examples for sale today for $30K or less today? Mid to low range #3 condition 240Z's are selling on Bring-A-Trailer above $25K.. Point is - it is all about supply and demand - - I don't see much supply in the face of rising demand. Chris - if the car being discussed here - was judged at an annual Z Car Convention - In STOCK CLASS - would it score 90%? Seems a lot of deductions are obvious.. Concours Quality is all about fine details in perfect condition.. Correct down to the valve stem caps!
  5. More progress tonight... Internal frame coating on and waiting for install!
  6. Compelling evidence the roof was crushed in Canada in 1969:
  7. I've been thinking on this Jai. How long has it been since you've had a full tune-up? Like Distributer cap, rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, timing, Air filter and fuel filter? If I remember correctly, I changed the spark plugs well over a year ago. Before that SteveJ, Tony and I replaced the vac lines, temp sensor and dist cap, not the rotor, added a G3 filter and kind of flushed out your fuel tank. I know we did not do the spark plug wires. Have any of those been replaced since then? Regular maintenance can sometimes be a cure all for problems like this. I think before we can potentially diagnose an ecu or fuel problem a good tune-up would probably be in order. All of the stuff I mentioned can be bought at your local Parts store. They might have to order a couple of things from another store but those parts should be available.

Good point. He must have confused his turbos. And missed a year. Nissan only used the CLSD in the 86-89 300ZX turbo cars. Not the 280ZX turbos. The other somewhat popular option is the OBX diff. It's a knockoff though and takes some extra work to get working properly.
