  1. My sensible is not your sensible. 325hp, triple adjustable shocks, and a sequential 5 speed trans are sensible to me. :-)
  2. A big thanks for all the help! The official test is wrapping up, but now I can finally get it registered and titled and actually drive the thing. Until it gets taken apart, that is [emoji4] It's beer time!

Nissan designed this thing just as it is for the purpose and market in which it was sold. They are not trying to slip a POS killer car past anybody. When the car costs $10, you get what you get. We and the article publisher can argue all day long about what minimum global safety standards should be, but in that market, to get a car that locals can afford, this is the outcome. I hate it too, but its the reality.
  4. I have no tools nor experience to change the rings. I would be going straight to the books. The N47 head is on the F54 block already. It has the stud holes for the SU intake manifold. They will mount right up. No infection holes to fill as those are in the injected manifold which I'm not using. The only thing I need is to run an electric fuel pump as it has no cutout for the mechanical pump. As we sit, I'm leaning towards just swapping it in. Thanks for the help, I will keep everyone updated on how it goes.
  5. I'm sure there's a wide variety of opinions on this, but as the cars get older and there are fewer of them, I would argue that adding fender flares and/or a sun roof are not recommended. Unless you have a car with rotten wheel arches. Then maybe I would add the flares. Otherwise make sure you don't ever need to sell it.
  6. I haven't fallen off yet! Bud Lite and a nail gun makes for a quick build. Too quick on that one.
  7. Well, here's some carb trivia that I just learned... They changed those clips somewhere along the way. Earlier round tops used a different clamping scheme. Here's what the older version looks like. This is what I was thinking of when you said you needed a clip: However, your carbs don't use that scheme. But here's the thing... I knew I had seen cable clamps like the one you need, and then it struck me... Flat tops! Here's a cable clamp from a 74 flat top that looks like it would work perfect and it's yours if you would like: Assuming the size is about the same, the only significant difference is that the later versions are slotted where the screw mounts. This allows for more adjustability for variations in cable sheath thickness. I can send two of the slotted versions if you want both sides to match. Send me PM for shipping details?
  8. Site, See what happens when you have too much beer with deck building...
