  1. The eight counterweight crankshaft described in technical bulletin TS70-28 on August 21, 1970 replaces the six counterweight crankshaft beginning with engine serial number L24-3607.
  2. Two things come to mind: First, it could be too rich. Are the plugs wet with fuel? Do you smell a lot if fuel while trying to get it running? Second, check the ingnition timing. It could be very late. If you still have points you can dead time it. Double check the timing mark on the damper as well to be sure it is actually correct. They can slip and drive you crazy.
  3. You forgot to factor in the primitive 1970s overseas materials and manufacturing methods and 40 years of degradation? OTOH, what if they build the L-Jectronic ECUs today? It would be 1/2 the size, very much customizable, and they'd probably call it "Hellfire!"
  4. Nice house Mark! Good to see that you are going through with the project. I have a lot of respect for people that do their own bodywork. Next time if I do a resto, I'm going to do it myself. So where did you find your awsome house? Or did you build it? If you're ever in need of parts, let me know.. I may have what you need. Most likely not, but ya never know.
