Hi,

What is recommended? this 3M tape says use it at a hidden location to make sure it doesnt damage the paint. Has anyone tried?

Or should i just use the 3M double sided tape it is pretty strong for emblems. Not sure how it will hold up to the water etc. during cleans over time.

Also, for front fender emblems should i apply some on the inside of the tabs too or tape on the outside is sufficient?

This product 3M tape eliminates the need to use the barrel clips. The barrel clips can chip the paint and cause rust.

I normally just coat the mounting pegs (sans the barrel clips) with adhesive from a hot glue gun and affix the emblems to their respective panels. 

There's enough resistance to maintain a good hold.

My car has no adhesive whatsoever. The OEM hardware works just fine.

The 3m double sided tape works well.

A bit of tape would i think prevent it from rattling etc. in my opinion.
