Looks like the center hole on the support brackets is Not a spot weld?

That center hole is not a spot weld. I suspect that was a locator feature. So you drilled out about the only part that is NOT holding it on.  Haha!!

Not a big deal. Stuff like that happens.

Haha! Well not for long! Keep screwing up like that and you'll soon be as experienced as the rest of us!  Haha!!

Well, Did much better in my opinion on the second go around. @EuroDat how you saved the brackets? Kudos to you!! Just opened up one other hole. Rookie mistake! But it looks like a Z Now!!DBC3B82D-7E60-4BB1-B018-BA6E34E40DB7.jpeg

Yeah, me too. After all the stuff I've screwed up, I might be an expert on some of it.  LOL

Yarb, The progress looks good.

Jumping on this thread, Please forgive me. The first  photo of the sight shield is what I’m attempting to remove. I bought a spot weld cutter from ZCD. Drilled out the first spot weld and the bracket is still attached solid. Can anyone shed some light on this before I attempt the others? Here’s a pic of the first weld I removed and the next weld that I have not attempted.  Appreciate the guidance.   John

No apologies needed, I need to do this in a week so a big thank you!
