Heater hose for fuel vent

Can I use heater hose to vent my fuel tank?  I’m talking about the vent on the top of the tank to the filler tube 

Nope. The gasoline will dissolve it

O'Reilly's has low pressure fuel hose pretty cheap. That's who had the 5/8" for the top 180 vent hose I used.

    nobody had any 5/8.  I ordered some from Amazon.  It's great not being in a hurry.  I can order stuff and wait another day, no big deal 

     

    Many years ago, the last time I looked for it, I think I found it at NAPA. Today, I would do what you did and just order it.

    I got some at orielly this weekend for a run from the fuel tank to the vapor tank 5/8th gates part#27008

    The 1/4” also on the vapor tank is gates part# 27002
