Ghosn Arrested in Japan and Fired by Nissan

Featured Replies

Looks like he may be toast.   He is said to have made many enemies and this may be the result.  Another dubious milestone for Nissan Motor Corp.

Shocking.  A rich person avoiding taxes!  I can't be party to this, I'm selling my 42 year old old beat up 280Z!

I get the impression that he wasn't trying to avoid paying taxes. More a case of trying to avoid letting the stockholders know just how much he was actually receiving in total compensation.

But how much can one man spend and still sleep at night?

I think a lot of people with mental disorders are in high corporate positions due to their illogical greed and lust for power. I've seen quite a few greed-driven co-workers rise and fall.

Evidently his compensation was about half what other top CEO's at his level were making. I am sure that is a big part of how guys at this level keep score, which at some point is what this is all about.

You also need a little creative accounting sometimes when you need to pay for your parties at Versaille

Peter DeLorenzo's overview in Autoextremist.com makes for interesting reading.

That's harsh, but I bet it's not too far from the truth
