Hi everyone. Unfortunately the guy who was painting my car lost two of the flat tips for my trim molding (picture attached). I'm in need of at least two of them - does anyone have any for sale?

There is commercial source for these, and it has been discussed here a year or so ago. Sorry can't find it at the moment, just to give you hope that you may be able to find them.

Thanks.  I found a few listings at zcarsource.com but they aren't in stock and didn't have the type I needed, unfortunately.

I will be looking for one too soon because my body shop lost a tip as well. Makes you wonder doesn't it? He tried telling me it was not original so I should just remove all the trim. Of course he would say that. If I can't find one I might have to. remove mine reluctantly. Please let me know if you find a avenue to getting these parts. I'll do the same. I'm not ready for paint yet so I just might have to eliminate the trim, unfortunately, if one can't be found. If that's the case for me, I might have one for you at least. Good luck .

Oh wow, Siteunseen! Those look like the ones! I'm going to order a couple and I'll report back on this thread whether they're the right size.

It is my understanding, none of the cars left the factory with the rubber bumper strips on the sides. That was generally added later or by the dealer before the sale

Here's my dealer add on side trim ends, '77 280.

 

Do you have better picture of what you need....I am parting a couple Z's with that trim.....
