cut pile or fluffy?

Featured Replies

i want to replace the carpet in my 77 280. it currently has fluffy but im seeing cut pile for sale. which is correct for 77?

also looking for original 14" tire size?

thanks

My 71 had 175/70 14". The speedo was very accurate with that tire size. It was 2 years old and had Bridgestone tires on it when I bought it. I think they were the original tires.

The original tire size was 175 HR/14.  The contemporary tire that is the same size is 195/70 x 14.

I have a set of Bridgestone recot tires that came new on a 79zx they still ride good and rubber is still soft.

I was driving a 83 rx7 a few years on org Bridgestone recot also felt good till I was caught in the rain very slippery.

I used the carpet paint on carpet fade works good.

My car is a 76 and came with loop pile carpet,  My tire size was 195 / 70 HR 14 - RD - 106 Steel Bridgestone.  Still have the original spare.

Thanks for replies, it seems like the loop is more popular. Im hoping the 14" tires arent to to bad of a ride. I reallly was thinking i want to use original hub caps. Kind of going for stock look on this one.
