'75 280Z Headlight Relay Upgrade

I was more curious than anything, it seem to be negelected.

I have used diodes in the past to reduce the back emf. Don't know if they still call it that these days. I know diodes are less reliable, but I have never had one fail on me yet.

Maybe I should have said "normal" instead of "servicable" relay since most relays don't have this voltage spike limiting function.

I believe the resistor is between 600 - 800 ohm which wouln't draw much anyway.

If you wanted to add fog lamps or driving lamps, which should only come on with the headlights, you need two switched +12V lies from the headlamp switch to power some relays.  where would a good place to get the switch +12V?  You would put in one or two extra wires that would operate the relays for the extra lamps.

What's the purpose for? Is there any advantage?

Adding headlight relay close to battery will increase  brightness of headlight. Same to starter relay.

But, I don't see any advantage to re-wiring fuel pump, EFI relay.
