What does that ducting over the rear wheels of the ^280ZX^ do? I've tried to work it out myself but in my slightly aero educated mind it makes no sense, assuming that it's not for cooling purposes.

Brake cooling.... On the track, one of the biggest weaknesses Datsun had was brake fade d/t heat.
