240kconvertible Posted January 13, 2009 Share #13 Posted January 13, 2009 I've seen them go for the $150 a few times, I laugh as I only paid $80 for my momo. In saying that one (datsun wheel) just sold for $20.50 the other week. You can also get a police number for a car with no id tags. A mate did it with his Wilkie. 440k Posted January 13, 2009 Share #14 Posted January 13, 2009 Yeh, I sold the remnants of LAchlan's parts car for $80, including the wheel. When I saw someone sell a 240K wheel for $150 I hearly fell off my chair. I know that similar vintage Mazda wheels (RX2, 3) are selling for $400 or more, and they look almost the same. 440k Posted January 16, 2009 Share #17 Posted January 16, 2009 No, they were advertised as 240K, but I recall one chap saying it also fit certain chryslers. This is the one that sold for $150, so perhaps he was tapping into some of that vintage Mopar fortune being spent each year

khughes Posted February 9, 2009 Author Share #19 Posted February 9, 2009 Why??You do realise that all it takes is a letter from Nissan and you can get new plates issued. A dude did that with an RX7 shell I was selling. If Mazda can do it, surely Nissan can do it too. There was no inspection required for the issue of the compliance letter. They just need to know that it was originally sold here in Australia. you wouldn't believe it.. but the 240Z that i bought.. i just realised when i went through it on the weekend.. it is missing the compliance plate too.. i am definately going to use your advice this time stupid.. i should have checked (even just to have haggled on the sale price!)
