Removed the stripes and put the right hood on. Staying black for now. I also wetsanded and buffed the driver side.

Went to take pix of my dad's L28 build. I think he is putting this in the green car.

I also went to my favorite location for pix and snapped these two :)

The engine pix and the 510 pic are worth 1024x683 :) sorry dial ups

  • 2 weeks later...

I hope you all don't mind a bit of off Zed topic (especially my dad :) ), but I wanted to post a few updates of the 510 in here.

The car is very nice but it had some issues. Carb issues and/or fuel delivery. The engine itself is an absolute beast. Today I had confirmation from Robello that they built the motor. And it is a screamer!!!! Door frames, B pillars and quarter windows were painted black which I didn't like. The engine bay was dirty not painted as well as the car itself. Finally, the interior was loud and obnoxious with no carpet.

Wolfcreek is finishing up with the manifold, carbs and linkage. The Twin Mikuni Solex 44's with Mikuni short manifold. Rebuild and clean. New linkage components and bead blasting. Locally I had the valve cover, grill, cowl, wiper motor, hood support assembly and a few other things bead blasted. From Friday after work until Monday eve I pulled the motor, stripped, cleaned and masked the bay followed by 3 coats of PPG spice orange and 2 coats of PPG high solids clear. My dad (Diseazd) got me a nice Devilbiss paint gung for my Bday. It is the single greatest tool I have ever owned. Lays glass smooth finish with no wetsanding and no runs!!!! Looks beautiful. ngs bead blasted

The window frames, B pillars and quarter window frames were black before. Sprayed those orange as well with the PPG base/clear after lots of masking. Last week I did a full dynamat kit. Carpet kit from Too intense should be here this week. Can't wait!! I hear good things about their products
