Rally Clock ~ Clocks ~

OK BOYS AND CHICKS !

BARE WITH ME.....

I just got off the lock with a friend of mine in Japan and he tells me he may know of a stash of FAIRLADY Z RALLY CLOCKS in a warehouse chillin.

Problem is he needs the parts numbers of the clocks in order to look them up in the computer and see if they have 'em !

The numbers he needs are

1. The two knob lap counter clock

2. The one knob calender clock

3. The oscillator for lap counter clock

4. The oscillator for calender clock

He says he believes he actually seen the oscillators at least but says they look the same on the outside but built differently on the inside.

which is why he needs both oscillator part numbers to know which oscillator goes to what clock.

He's waiting on my reply with the Numbers so he can look them up and see what he can find.

Please help guys as he's talking like they maybe have a few.

CALLING ALL CARS ! ! ! !

Also, if it helps, my oscillator box has the letters U.P on the side where the connector plugs in and 2101 on the bottom. The back of the clock assembly has 2111 F. I think I need a new oscillator box, tried connecting it once as recommended by the Z Clock repair guy, but the clock didn't start up. Still looks cool, if I have to have an inoperable clock I prefer my lap counter w/ the separate box over the clock the car came with that doesn't work. However, I'd prefer the rally clock to work of course if I could get a working box.

Edit: Put me down for number 3 clock and box since it took me so long to post

I would love one as well, but what would I use it for? Keep time I guess? Family herlom?

 your not a newbie right?

All i can say look is at tha expression on my face.

My jaw is dropped and my eyes are blinking.

Then look at these pics.

The center part with the numbers up to 60 on it is suppose to spin I think making it your Lap counter ^_^

The gold box is the oscillator for the two knob Lap Counter Clock as the one knob Calender Clock has an internally built oscillator, or so i've been told by the Z Clock guy.

I hope I'm not too late to get an Oscillator.

I've owned the clock for 10 years and so far It's just been a conversation piece. Which is as much as it can be without the Oscillator to run it!

I don't blame you sister! I'm still trying to get my hands ~ON~ the clock ^_^

Won't know till Monday at the earlist if they can find any though and as far as who gets dibs, I'm going by the order of this thread and what ya'll ask for and need ^_^.

Tell you the truth I'm hoping they find 30 of 'em ! ROFL

YO Fei , I mean Vic!

I see you need a knob handle to go with your clock. Have you ever thought about going custom?

Type in Rally Clock on EBAY and see what you find. There should be a Few really good clocks out there you can use from 70's Mopars and other vintage cars from the 1920's and up to get knob handles from. I'm thinking something Super Shiny Chrome would be nice.

Just a thought ~Z~

I am very keen to join this action if it is possible. The Oscillator is my main interest (Part # 27395 - E4100). My parts CD indicates the Clock as Part # 27385 - E4100 up to 07/73. After that Part # 27390 - N3400 up to 08/74.

I have found that my Fairlady 240Z built 07/73 has some later listed parts on it. The Oscillator is listed as the same Part # for later Models!

If I have the good fortune to secure an Oscillator through this thread, of course I will be prepared to pay for shipping to Australia.

Thanks for the opportunity. I hope it works out.

Regards, Jack

Hello Jack !

Thyanx for the info ^_^

And FO SHO welcome to the Chow line.

I hope it works out too.

I'm not caring, I'm getting my hopes Wayyyyyyyy UP !

Would your CD also happen to tell what the new number became for the other clock (part number 27390-e4100) so I can forward them to my folks?

Same thing happen to my 1969-1977 Celica T/A22 GT Dragon badge. It had a part number that was listed for 1970-1973 untill the number changed in 1974-77. It was the same part though, just a new number.

P.S. The line's getting long now ^_^
