I got to thinking and was wondering how long have most people had their Z? Some of us have had many over the years and some have just got theirs.

I 've had mine just a short thirty three years

I had my 70 for 1 1/2 years, followed by my 72 which I had for 3 years. Both were new. I have had the 78 since mid 1997.

Jim-I'm the original owner for my car so...thats 31 years. Cost me a total of $5815 before taxes. I'd say money well spent.

I have owned my current 70 for 8 years (1998), had a 72 prior to that (96-98), and have owned several before that. Been driving for 20 years, been a Z car driver for the same 20 years (except for 1 year in Korea)

I bought my 72, as the second owner, in 1977. Paid around $1500.

Had one other 72 as a buy, fix up and sell, in 78.

In July I will have had my Z for a year.

Going on 5 years owning Z cars.

Bought my first 240-Z in March of 1970, drove it 19 months and put 68,000 miles on it. Sold it for more than I paid for it... then in Dec. of 71 I bought the Metallic Blue 72 240-Z that I have to this day.

Bought another White 72 here in St. Petersburg about 10 years ago from it's original owner. It had about 60K miles when purchased by me - refreshed it - and for the most part it's the Z I drive most of the time, that I drive a Z. I was fearful that some moron would run into my original 72... so didn't want to expose it to too much in town traffic.

Of course I have a few others as well...

So far we have found about 155 people who bought their Datsun 240-Z's new - and who have kept them to this day. Over the years a few have been sold, or passed on to the next generation within the family..

Bought my 73 from the original owner in 7/98 with 62k on it. Don't use it much, only 69k. Considering selling it.

Had my Zee nearly eighteen years,had on previous but rotted away was Zedless for 2 years but couldnt resist another one,pictures of my 260Z are waiting approval on the gallery,

Had my 73 from 83 till 89 and just got a 72 a couple of months ago. You can a man out of a Z, but not the Z out of a man.
