  :stupid:  :tapemouth Seen a couple of those before, but still...argh! Its especially frustrating when i think about how hard ive tried to find a particular part for my car, when theres this sort of thing going on. The biggest anomaly, i believe, is the addition of full cages, oil coolers and what looks like well kitted out racing interiors - these items dont come cheap. Why would you splurge that sort of money on a car that can barely get down the driveway, let alone onto the street or the 'track.'??:stupid:

I wouldn't be surprised if the roll cages were just painted toilet rolls stuck together. In the video I had showing a very high quality C110 bosozoku car (oxymoron?) he tugged on the hoses leading to the oil cooler and they all kindof just fell out. It wasn't connected to anything. But still, add up all the components and yes, still a lot of money spent on these cars. Like I said before, I just don't get it.

I don't know if I'm showing my age, (second childhood) or if I'm really regressing, but I DO get it.

It's A N I M E Art applied to automobiles.

Granted, it is - - interesting - - BUT.....

I'm more surprised to find that they're considered roadworthy.......

Although that white rolling ramp would be the way to go for cities with low number of parking spaces.....they could double as speed bumps.

Oh well....

Enrique, I swear you just wrote what was in my mind since I first saw one of these contraptions. And we all know where the design cues came from. The Nissan race cars of the early 80's

Didn't Alan post a photo of one of the s110 gazelles (200SX's to gringos) in full factory GP livery? It had box flares and an E-Nor-Mous front scoop/air dam that juts way forward.

True the bosozoku cars are a bit too far... But their creators are Nissan fans.

Can't really argue about their going too far as, to be honest, it's customizing done on a very small budget.

I'm still perplexed as to why they would be allowed on the road.

To me the white rolling door stop and the green 810 with the ice scraper scoop (don't let SBlake see that one) really give it away. I can almost see Speed Racer racing against either one of these.

Then again, remember some of the Hot Wheels that were out in the late 80's?

FWIW
