what's the deal with these bumpers?

Featured Replies

WTF? Ebay link Are these bumpers from a 280ZX or what? Or do they just look larger because they're red? I'm confused....

If the bumpers are the original ones, the car is either a 77 or 78 judging by the shape of the end caps and face of the bumpers.

And I agree   :tapemouth

78 Z, paint on the bumpers is there to hide something-unfortunately it is probably uglier than what it is hiding!

That rear bumper looks like it's out ten inches farther than it's supposed to be. Maybe 10 mph bumpers??

Okay, that's a 77-78 280Z. It may have a/c but it doesn't have power steering, not available on a 280Z. The bumpers are the stock 77-78 ones but painting them makes them stand out like an even sorer thumb! It's not bad gas that would make it run bad after sitting two years, it's a bad gas tank! Been there, done that. This guy obviously knows bupkis about the car based on the way he describes it.

May be related to the one wanting to trade the Z for a VW Bug.... or their "spawn".... LOL :bandit:
