I spotted a faded lime green 240z earlier this evening and spoke with a friend of the seller. It's a '72 California car, 4spd, black interior. The guy showed me the floors and they looked incredible, body was rust free, had a good rear bumper but had some after market fiberglass front bumper. Has dual Webers and he said it ran when they put fuel in the carbs but they believe the fuel pump is out. It needs a full interior job but the door panels appeared to be useable minus holes for small speakers at the bottom and some wiring attention as there were a lot of unplugged connectors hanging down on the passenger side. I did not have my camera with me and it got dark quickly.…

Hello, I am new to this site, and yes, Ive searched, but I havent found the answer I was looking for. Has anyone installed an a/c from a 1975 to their 240z? Direct fit, wiring trouble etc? Also, would a rack and pinion and power steering pump from a 280zx fit the 1973 240z, I have the L28 engine.. will I be able to mount the PS pump on the l28?

If you were to have someone famouZ, say John Morton, autograph something for you, would you use a part from the car? I've seen people getting the sunvisor or glovebox door autographed. Either of those isn't easy to remove. I have a kind of autograph book made up of wire bound note cards, so the ink (Sharpie ink) doesn't bleed through, and it's stiff enough to write on otherwise. What else is there, unless you get spare parts and take them with you?

This looks like a sharp looking car that happens to be the same year, color and wheel combo as mine. It would be nice to have a twin :classic: I'm not affiliated with the ad or seller. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/3333925633.html

So my 1978 parts car is needing to go away and I thought I would offer the good parts up for sale, trade, 'pay it forward' or whatever. I say good parts because the body is..well crap, but I know that the block and suspension are usable - heck there may be other misc. parts that are good but that is up to the taker. The interior is gone, some body panels might be usable -again that is up to you. The car is in Humble Texas, PM me if you are interested...

I'm trying to figure out if Teflon tape would melt on my fuel fittings at the fuel rail. I soaked the yellow over night in a jar of fuel and it held up great. Now I'm wondering if it might melt out when the motor gets up to temp. I'm thinking it may be a good thing for it to melt in to the threads? Maybe seal even better. I could put it the oven when I get it all back together and see. Maybe 300 degrees? More or less? I'm using the heat shields and I have the ceramic coated header from MSA. Appreciate any replies. Thanks Cliff Edit: sorry, I forgot the Wikipedia page. It says 621 F.

The question is, where to start? no motor or trans, I am preparing for an L28/E31 combination, slightly aggressive cam, and SU's, ZX 5 speed. 4.11 open diff The car is, as far as a 2 hour inspection can tell, structurally straight and only has rust on the deck lid. I am tempted to strip it down completely. Do I do all body work, then put it all together to make sure it works well, then take it back apart for paint? or just do it system by system, and paint it first? Thanks! Not sure if it's OK to post this here, but unfortunately I need to sell my Z. It's up in the classifieds and on craiglist. It's a really nice 280z, well cared for and drives great. Thanks, Sean.
