I need a replacement hood release cable for my '77 280z, does anyone know if a cable from another year 280z will fit ? I have seen pictures of other year cables and the mounting bracket looks different. My mounting holes are at a 20 degree angle from each other, and all the others look like the holes are in a straight line :disappoin

I am removing my 78 280z engine (N42 engine with N47 head) and do not have the lift brackets to connect the engine hoist to. Does anyone have an extra set that I can borrow or buy?

I am installing toyota 4 piston front calipers on my '76 280z. My master cylinder is also shot. Ultimately i intend to go with discs all around. What should I use for master cylinder and proportioning valve? I would like to put in upgraded mc with my front brakes. Is this ok? What is the best set up for rear discs? How hard is i to do?

Does anyone know where one could find a windshield wiper handle? By handle I mean the thing that holds the wiper and connects to the motor. The one that I have broke today due to, well being run over by a Jeep, so all I have is the driver's side. Thanks Jan

I just installed a 260Z motor with a 280Z 5 speed in my '73 240 that had an automatic. I have two issues remaining to complete the job: #1 - The shifter does not come up in the center of the hole on the trans tunnel. It's like the car's a '71, but it's a '73 for sure!. It looks like the tunnel has two possible cut-outs, one for manual and one for auto. See the attached photo. If I cut the tunnel along the foreward line to make the hole bigger, the shifter will be in the center of the hole (good), but the shift boot I bought will be too small (bad). The boot I bought has a rubber lip that fits around the inside of the tunnel hole. Should I be using the boot that is held d…

At the end of the summer last year, I came to the conclusion that the syncros in my 4-speed trans were going bad. And I've decided to go with the 240sx trans. I am aware that my bell housing needs some modification to fit the sx trans. I've already talked to a local machine shop. The driveshaft will probably have to be shortened. I've done a great deal of research and I'm pretty confident in my ability to make this work. But I was wondering, if there is anyone else out there that's done it, do you have any advice?

What would be the best engine swap for a 260z as a daily driver. As modern as an engine i can get without too much modification! If anyone could help me that would be great. Cheers

I know Skylines are not available here in the US, but I have managed to grab a KAAZ 2 way LSD. Does anyone know if the internal R32 R200 Diff would fit in a 280Z R200?

I'm finally back on my 240z resurrection project and have stripped the header and exhaust manifolds off the '75 280 engine I have. I never had an engine in the 240z that I bought to compare but I'm not sure where this tube is going to connect once the engine is in place. I am putting SU carbs on the engine and do not plan to run the water heating through the carbs since I live in CA where it is never cold enough to worry about heating the carbs. I have included a picture of the tube that sticks out of the side of the engine and attached to the intake manifold that I took off. Also, I found out that I only have 1 of the 2 brackets that bolts to the block of the engine …
