Haynes distributor firing order
Tomohawk, head over to office max and get a Brothers TZ labeling machine with some 1/4" labeling tape. Make your own as you go. The TZ tape will stick to just about anything and is not easy to remove. I use this stuff on the helicopters at work.

Starting Problems -
Do you have the internal or external regulator? I have to go with Steve on this one. Check the Alt then look at the voltage regulator. Replace as needed.

post your joke of the day!
This is why women should not take men shopping against their will. DON'T TAKE ME IF I DON'T WANT TO GO........... After Mr. And Mrs. Rick O'Brien retired, Mrs. O'Brien insisted her husband accompany her on her trips to Wal-Mart. Unfortunately, Mr. Rick O'Brien was like most men--he found shopping boring And preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, Mrs. O'Brien was like most women--she loved to Browse. One day Mrs. O'Brien received the following letter from her local Wal-Mart. Dear Mrs. Rick O'Brien, Over the past six months, your husband, Rick, has been causing quite a Commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and may be Forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against Mr. Rick O'Brien are listed below and are documented by our video Surveillance Cameras. 1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's carts when they weren't looking. 2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5 Minute intervals. 3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom. 4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official Voice, "Code 3 in Housewares - get on it right away." 5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&M's on layaway. 6. September 14: Moved a "CAUTION - WET FLOOR" sign to a carpeted Area. 7. September 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told Other shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows And blankets from the bedding department. 8. September 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began Crying and screamed, "Why can't you people just leave me alone?" 9. October 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as A mirror while he picked his nose. 10. November 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he Asked the clerk where the antidepressants were. 11. December 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly Humming the "Mission Impossible" theme. 12. December 6: In the auto department, he practiced his "Madonna Look" by using different sizes of funnels. 13. December 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed Through, yelled "PICK ME! PICK ME!" 14. December 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he Assumed a fetal position and screamed "OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!" And last, but not least, 15. December 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited Awhile, then yelled very loudly, "Hey! There's no toilet paper In here!" Regards, Wal-Mart

Nissan says: what's a 280z?
I feel bad for you guys where nissan dealers don't know squat. I bought my 76 280Z and my 300ZXTT from my local Nissan parts manager. He is a great guy. Will look up anything you ask for and even try looking all over the US for it. If I order a part he won't make me pay for it until it comes in and if I don't need it I don't get a restocking fee, Plus I get parts at cost. Can't beat the deals I can get.

Interesting White LED
Have the dash out and I am about ready to replace and repair all the gauges. Just wondering if removing the green plastic piece was a good result for the BA9s-x-WV Wide Angle bulb. Has anyone tried different colors? I was thinking blue with white faces give it that indiglo look.

Anybody going to Pikes Peak this weekend?
Wish I was there in Colorado with ya. I love that race, its one of the best. A steep hill, Long drop offs, Crazy curves and a bunch of gravel to spin the tires in. If your from out of town go see the Graden of the Gods and don't drive up pikes peek in your Z it takes 10 years off its life but what a sight it is from the top of that peek.

Brake Terminology
I wouldn't call them "self adjusting" but "operator assisted adjustment". You have to help them every now and then or you will just eat up your front brakes like a fat guy at Western Sizzler.

Highly recommend it
I would use a General Purpose grease for the project. As long as it is lubbed it will move much better.

Kameari And O.e.r. Jdm Products!
I like the idea of Titanium coated rings but when are we going to get Titanium rods, pistons, cams, crank, valves, Bolts, and Ect. Prices are very reasonable compared to the U.S. stuff I have looked at

'76 280 Still not starting???
This does not sound like a fuel problem. I would start with the basics. Check your fuzes first of all and make sure you did not blow one with the battery trick. Then see if you are getting spark to the plugs. If so then test your fuel to the injectors. If you got fuel to the injectors and spark to the plugs then you have a problem with something major. If you have no spark to the plugs, check your coil and distro to see if they are working. If there is no fuel to the injectors start with checking the fuel pump to see if its even coming on. You should be able to hear a humming sound coming from the passenger rear wheel. If you have no fuel and hear no humm then your fuel pump may just have gone out. Good luck andd keep us posted of your progress and solution.

High freq. vibe above 70mph
Don't forget that you may have problems with your bushings or your rack and pinon. I have seen this before. So now you have tires, U joints, Bushings and rack & pinion to check out. Good luck and hope you fix it.

AC vent insulation
So I have found replacement air duct hose for the Z's. NAPA PART # BK8151001 is a 2" x 76" NAPA PART # BK8131509 is a 2-1/4" x 72" It runs about 3.29 a Foot, so close to 20.00 for the whole 6 feet. Now on to the Cell foam.

AC vent insulation
Not a bad idea Will. I have a tube of clear in the garage but like you said if the fit was good then leave it. (Dash Cap)

AC vent insulation
Well I plan on updating most all of it. I will take a hose to work tomorrow and see what my aviation friends have. Heck I may just use steel braided line. I have some cell foam for a door seal that I may be able to use. I am also going to put masstic around the evap to seal it up nice and clean.

AC vent insulation
cool Stephen thanks. What thickness of cell foam? I was also going to look at hoses from hottubs. May sound crazy but anything is possible.

AC vent insulation
Pulled the dash out of the 280Z to try and find out more about/on the dealer installed AC system and why it won't cool like it should. I know it works because it gets cold and I do feel some air flow. What I came across was the insulation for the vents and inside of the duct hoses is shot. I kind of expected it though. My questions are. What’s the best solution to fixing the insulation is. Also what can be used to replace the torn and damaged duct hoses under the dash?
