Sounds to me like you might have to find the original owner, tell him you want the car and find out how much he owes. If its not to much make a deal with him to sign the title over.
  3. What manual do you have? FSM should tell you everything you need.

Theinside of a 280 tank is very basic. The Pick-up line inside of the tank is about 5/8" and about 3 ft long. It runs in a spiral, inside of a baffle, that is shaped like a coffee can. Once this is clogged it is almost impossible to clean it out. One one tank I had to cut and weld shut the original line and have a new pick up put in. Problem was solved. The return line dumps almost as soon as it get in side of the tank. Napa stocks and sells a fuel filter that works perfect for this job. Its a napa gold fuel filter. I can't remember the part number off hand & I did place it in a tread around here.Search and you sould find the part number.

I have mine still on the car, actually I have 2 of them one is extra.
  6. Next year the family will be at the show to see Carl's car become the first Z car ever in the event. Hopefully we can fill the parking lanes with Z cars to show there is still a great following for these cars.
  7. Could also be a bad tank. When you fill up it slushes all the crap at the bottom of the tank around and this could cause clogging of the pick up line.

pick and pulls. Most Z's I have seen have the same type of clamps. They all seem to be about the same size. If you don't find any soon let me know I just rebuilt my AC/heat and I have a few extra in a bag out in the shop. The FSM calls it a Control Cable Clamp.
  24. The drive to the show. Like dave said 2400 miles is a long way to go for a show.
  25. I have had my 76 280 up to 135mph and that is about all she would go with a stock engine. My 1990 TT has hit the 160mph mark one time but it has a couple of mods.
