  1. Hi all, I just took a set of 4 Tokico HP springs out of my 71Z that only have 10 miles on them. The ride was too harsh for me. I just purchased them from Motorsport three weeks ago. I will let them go for $170.00 plus shipping from upstate NY. These are the red springs. E-mail me at zztom71@hotmail.com. Ebay is next for them if nobody is interested on this site. Thanks, Tom
  2. Hi guys, I had the same type of noise when I would drive over inclines or declines on driveways or parking lots. I put in new mounting insulators when I replaced the struts in front and the noise disappeared. The noise would occur when the weight was off the front end.

  8. Just a reminder...registration fees go up after 7-15-05. The convention will be great!!
  9. 71 240Z Production date 1/71 HLS30-19867 (first series)
  10. Hi guys, my 71 Z is HLS30-19867. Engine # is 026313 (matches strut tower plate). Engine block is P30 1109A. Head E31.....Intake E46.
  11. Would it be a bad thing to cut the bushing a little thinner till it fits?
  12. Have you tried the old Carb-Clean spray on the throttle shaft trick? You might be sucking air. The engine should stumble if the carbclean is getting through the shafts. When I had my old carbs on, I thiught I had them balanced pretty good. The only problem was that they were running rich. After spraying the rear shaft, the engine cut out immediately. ZTHERAPY to the rescue !!!
  13. If you go to that American Racing Wheels site and go to the gallery, click on passenger cars, the old "zztom" mobile is featured wearing the Outlaw I mag. Its a pretty good picture if you ask me

How about when you are at the local weekend car show and the "youngsters" whisper to each other, Who makes Datsun? Its not just an upstate NY problem.
  15. Obviously the wrong pic....
  16. I put in a Pertronix system with the Flamethrower coil. It has a built in resistor. Car runs much better. I also went with the ATO fusebox from Motorsport. Got rid of the glass fuses and now I dont have any battery drain when I let the car sit for weeks. That probably sounds like I am a mean owner but you pick your spots when you live in upstate NY.
  17. Here in Upstate NY it is $2.45 for diesel. Aaarrrggghhh :stupid: :stupid:
  18. Hi everyone. I put on a set of 6-2-1 headers with no adjusting needed. The flange was the same thickness as the intake manifold. The other way, having to make washers , sounds tricky. These pics might give you a look. Tom.
  19. Looks good too!!:classic: :classic:
  20. Or you could send the header back and get a 6-1 header from Arizona Z-Car. It bolted right up with no problem.
  21. Hi all and Happy Holiday, Can a mechanical fuel pump be repaired or checked out? I'm getting a lean pop from my carbs. I blewair through the fuel lines and they seem clear. I also checked the fuel rail..clear. The carbs are new Z-Therapy units. Idle is fine but giving it hard throttle pops through carb. I also would like some info on vacuum advance. Are they adjustable, repairable or disposable? How do you check to see if one is functioning? The only other thing I can think of is the fuel pickup. Even though I hear bubbles when I blow on the fuel line, can the pickup be blocked? Everyone here has great opinions and comments to help others. I make sure that I stop by every day to see what the next topic is. Now if we can get those wiring harnesses from ZHADMAN we will all be on cloud nine.. Thanks to all. Tom
  22. Looking at the two diagrams, it seems like the 240 and 280 are wired differently. One says to ground the #30's. The other says that the #30's are the hot side. Are the two cars different? Am I reading these wrong? I'm so confused.... :ermm:
  23. My rear carb was leaking around the throttle shaft. I could never get them to run great. They were ok for a couple of years but lately they stunk. But now I solved all that. Thakn you, Z-Therapy.

It is a great ride! You can view it from different aspects. Inside the car and from the bumper cam. It was in the package that you received when you went to the National Convention in New Hampshire.
