  5. One of my buddies informed me about this place www.fedhillusa.com . Never done buisness through em but it sounds like its top qaulity stuff! figured id post it up here cuz every now and then i always see a thread about brake lines. Hope it helps!
  6. my problem is a little bit more extreme. its more like hmm looks like i need a truck, mioght aswell save a boatlaod of money on it, buy an old one to restore so hear i am with a Zed and a Truck to restore ... whats to come next.
  7. hmm i like em but i dont know if they look proper there, maybe on a totally blackd out Zed with LED lights (if there legal) i think that would look pretty nifty especially when u hit the brakes or decided to take a turn. Right now ill be honesty they look kinda of out of place but they have a lot of potention i think!

wow today 2 of my really old threads have popped up, and how my plans and knowledge of my Z have changed =P i was screwing around with my Z one day and found out it had a 5 speed in it, i was like noooo thats not right. Shifted through the gears again and sure enough it was a 5 spd =P Saved me some work, time, and money . Atleast these two threads that came up today contain alot of good information!
  12. well the Z rear bumpers are really low to the ground, they offer no protection against mean soccer moms. I was thinkin of keeping the bumper shocks there, cutting them back ( if possible) about 1/4 inch into the body and welding on a thick steel rod or plate and stiffen up the whole rear. Alot of cars nowadays hide there bumpers inside the car and are part of the structure. There are ways to get rid of the bumper and still keep that part safe, but look at in different terms, u can get hit in the side, corner, or above the rear bumper where no protection is at all, and unless u want to strap bumpers all around ur car there is no way to escape it. The idea that i and others here would like to do is just as effective as the bumper and wont total ur car when u accidently back into someone goin 5 mph. Anyways what im tryin to get at is a bumper can help with small stuff but theres no real way to escape damage from the masive vehicles on the road today.
  13. thanks alot guys for all the info and i have arrived at a new conclusion, instead of slappin a 350 or 327 in the Z im gunna run the stock engine just modded. Custom headers, rebuilt SU's, stage 3 cam, timing chain kit, and if i ever get around to it, performance pistons. For some reason i really like the L series engine. They are easy to work on, easy to find mods, and i personally feel as though the L28 should remain in its home =) Thanks for all ur advice and im sure it will be very useful, but for now the L28 is staying unless i blow it or get tired of her and want more power. Thx again!
  14. another blue 280z in the movie winner takes all... old dirtbiking based movie, kinda corny =P i beleive i saw a gnose Z too, but it was a really quick flash i couldnt tell to bad i dont have tivo
  15. i believe this topic was brought up before, try running a search but im not 100% positive
  16. hmmm ill look into it deeper. its a cali car and it has a bunch of emissions stuff on it and i better not have to keep it on! =P
  17. With a 1976 280Z cali Z do i need to pass emissions in Massachusetts? what i hear is that its 84 and up or something like that. Any idea where i can find out any of this? I dont wanna remove all the smog equipment and throw on a exhaust that could never pass emissions if i need to pass it... obviously.... anyways any info on it would be great, i know its been brought up in the past but not sure if anything specific has been.
  18. we've been havin typical new england weather. 50 degrees one day, next day two feet of snow and 20 degrees.
  19. got it to work... sounds great and i love the look, sorry to hear about the dent.
  20. haha... i was lookin at ur scout speedy and i love it =P appearently they dont know what a scouts really like ...
  21. well that international scout turned out to be a 2wd 6 cylinder so i was flippin through the want ad again and bought a 1989 ford f150 with 130k miles that im gunna restore ALONG with my beloved Z no she isnt goin anywhere.. YAY!
  22. thanks all... as for winter im not to worried. i would strip it down, do it over and line it with a truck bedliner or sumthin. im gunna see if there is a way i can do both... i cant seem to part with my Z we've become to close =P So i have arrived at Both of them or the z... thanks for ur help!
  23. yah i was lookin for parts and didnt see anything... My Z would be my daily driver and i would be driving it in the winter ( i might add it will also be raced out a bit... i wouldnt be able to drive a stock car ) Its a very difficult debate. I know its more practical for the scout but its hard to leave the Z .
  24. Well i was flippin through the want ad as usual and i came accross a 1974 international scout. I looked into it a bit more and it only has 85k miles with some rust on the rear quarters. Now i absolutely love these vehicles. I have a 1976 280z that im restoring right now, as many of u know. Im in a heated debate on whether i should get the scout or keep the Z. Living in new england and all the Z seems less practical in comparison to the Scout. Then comes value. The scout seems to hold its value alot more than a 280z and will only keep rising. One thing i cant do is have both ( just not enough room). Im confused here i dont know if i should restore the Z or the Scout. I know most of u are going to say go for the Z but i have to be practical aswell... which car would i get more use out of. Any input would be great cuz i just dunno what to do, i love both cars :stupid:
