  4. Thanks for the reply but I think your talking the vents in the heater box. I'm talking about the fresh air vents that bolt into the corners of the firewall. I didn't think to use vinyl, the only problem would using the right adhesive.
  5. I am in the process of stripping and parting out a 1973 240z. I have the fresh air vents out and looking at the rubber damper I see, after 40 years, that the rubber is cracked and disintegrating. Wondering if anyone has refurbished these and what was used as replacement rubber. The material is very thin and goes onto a backing plate.

  11. zcars is correct as each year were different but almost all the connectors are the same. So you could do the job of rebuilding your harness using another harness. I bought 3 different harnesses just for this purpose. Although I never completely rebuilt a harness I had all the connectors to replace the ones that went bad.
  12. try precision's web site. You should be able to do a search on their site. If you have Datsun part # you search using CarPartsManual.com
  13. got the engine, tranny, fenders, front valance.rear hatch.rear bumper off the 73 240z that I'm parting out. Found very little rust.
  14. Also it isn't that hard to take out the seat
  15. you can't put a price on sentimental value. I like that you and your dad are going to review the needs of the car and then go from there.
  16. Is there a chemical dip in your area? That would eat all the rust leaving you with seeing all that would need to be redone.
