i they look like this then yes they are aluminum. i also did a search on google just type in how to polish aluminum wheels and u get a get a load of info. here is one website thats seems to know what they are talking about.how to polish got me a pair waiting for me to do the same. also u can get a shop to do it for u and buff the hell out of it if u have the cash.

why not just throw a LS1 engine in it?

i have a Harbor Freight engine stand and i do recomend them. for the price they cost no real reason why not to get one unless u want to waste time and build one. u can put one together in a hour. yea i bought my 1000lb engine stand for 40 bucks. i also got some car jacks.
