Alan Once again I'm blown away by your library of knowledge. You'll have to forgive my model code muck ups I've only just got into learning about these older Datsuns/Prince cars. I read an article that tickled my fancy in a magazine. It had the normal 2 door GT version which had been turned into a replica car of the GTR. It featured a modified L28 made into a 300HP weapon. The interior of the car grabbed me I love the layout and look. The front of the cars look beautiful and I believe the car was nicknamed "Hakosuka" which directly translated means something like Box skyline. I read that it was build to outperform the european cars and sent them home with their tales between there legs. The R380 is a machine that I feel looks amazing. I couldn't imagine how much fun it would be to drive it. Kinda reminds me of the Ford GT40 but sexier. Did they ever race them outside Japan? The more I read about these old cars the more I realise just how under rated some of them were. Hey guys I think you read it wrong I checked the add and he says one of lowest surviving if you could call it that Z's. He doesn't claim it's the lowest out there if you read the words properly. I tell you what if that car was for sale here in Aus I'd snap it up. Store it away and fix it when my pockets got deeper. I'm looking for an early Z shell I love the 69/70 mdl with the rear vents.

I've seen a few around Melbourne. There's a fellow who goes around ST KILDA in one it's very good condition. I drove next to him once in my Red 240z was too arrogant to talk to him. Sorry There not my favorite I like the PC110 I think it's that. The Original GTR. Now that's a car and it's one of the most expensive cars in Japan. I know K+N make air filters to suit the Su's my old Z had them on it but it was put there by the previous owner. So not sure where he bought it try giving K+N a call.

Hey Gavin, my name is also Gavin ;-). Anyway I'm not sure about the amount of 71 Z's that were brought to AUS. I was under the impression that the 1970 and 72 were the least amount of 240z's brought here and the 71 and 73 were the most amount of 240z's brought here. The cylinder head however E31 is quiet a hard find. Mainly because of it's high compression 9:1 or so I believe and it wasn't restricted by the same emission laws. It has a high quench chamber I think. (never seen one). I'm not sure about WA Z car clubs but I'm sure there's one around there's a couple of Perth boys on this forum Halz I believe is one of them. 2 Many Z's you can finance the car it says in the add I'd love to see such a car in good hands. I wish Nissan restored some of them here in AUS. Not that my Z is in bad condiiton but sometimes Nissan can get parts that we can't . It's a shame to see such a car go but I guess he finds the 350z will be a better daily driver car. PS: ANyone have photo's of those 40 cars that were restored???

Mike I've seen it done on a friends 240z. He had the white guages with blue bulbs looks nice. He printed them on UV resistant paper and glued them over the top of the originals I believe. I myself would like to keep my guages original and classic looking rather than that boy racer style. If I ever did do it I'd buy a set of old guages from a wrecker and use them. Gav,

Thanks Alan I appreciate the time you take to explain the variations and give me a brief history on the body kit. I also appreciate the offer to get me in touch with someone who can supply me this kit. Unfortunately at the moment i don't have the money to look into this kind of kit. I just bought a 240z have you seen my Gallery? Anyway I just finished getting it roadworthy today and I have to pay stamp duty and I owe some money for it. Once that is out the way I'll look at removing the rust in the doors which is the main spot and then I'd love to take you up on the offer. I think I'd be looking at a bit of money seeing as the AUS$$ trades so poor these days but I'm also going for another job interview tomorrow which will hopefully pay me better than my current one provided I get it. Well I should anyway I've decided to rule out the option of a front spoiler and go full authentic with the Gnose it's the look I really like for the car. So not yet but definately in the future when finances allow. PS: Are you an Oasis Fan? Seeing as you live in England, A friend and I are into their music and saw them when they came to AUS.

Alan if your reading where would you obtain such an attachment? I love the Mirrors on the Fenders/Wings/guards depending on where your from. C'mon more votes for the GNose.
