  1. Hey, you forgot the Wangan Midnight movie!
  2. I wouldn't call that a "wide-body" not in the terms of more moder wide body style kits. I'd say thats just a z with wheel arch flares. A wide-body z is more like the California Z kit (well the rear at least). Wide body kits generally enlarge the whole of the guard, not just the wheel arch. like this http://z31.com/~morgan/nd/z/awds30.jpg
  3. I'm on both sites, Hybrid is good for technical info on engine swaps and performance modifications, turbos, newer engines, while this site is better for info about keeping it original, datsun history and general datsun chit chat.
  4. Pics are working now. They look black on this one
  5. Pity about the sunroof (Someone had to say it )
  6. How much did the take off the head?
  7. Dude, that '69' 1970 240Z is in Australia, and pretty rusty from what I hear. Definately not worth shipping all the way to the US of A. Here's what someone that actually went a looked at it said
  8. So what exactly is wrong with it? might be something simple to fix?
  9. I think if it was a genuine nissan part it would have nissan or datsun on it, not Japan. My guess is that is a generic accessory that was available in Japan at the time, like steering wheel covers and vanity mirrors that attached to the sun visors, cup holders etc etc (not that they were all available back then - I wouldn't know either way, but you get my point).
  10. Mr Camouflage replied to tsouk's topic in Introductions
And if you want your zx to go fast head on over to www.hybridz.org
  11. ....but not much thought. Very strange looking indeed.
  12. If you find a R190 open diff, there was a R190 LSD center for sale on ebay Australia recently. Didn't sell. Seller might be open to offers.
  13. Here in Aus theres a Ford v's Holden rivalry. There's a touring car race series thats Ford Falcon v's the Holden Commodore. I think Holden went IRS first, so Ford had to go IRS too. Here's the ford: http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/ContentServer?cid=1137385397563&pagename=Page&c=DFYPage Looks like GM is going to export the Commodore Sedan to the USA (They previously sent the 2 door over as the GTO ) I hear they had on at the Detroit(?) motor show recently. http://www.holden.com.au/www-holden/action/modeloverview?modelid=4006
  14. The 140Z is a South African version of the B210 Sunny Excellent. This is about the only website dedicated to this car http://silverstone.fortunecity.com/austin/489/
  15. He's in the USA i think, so RB30 arent available, apart form the guy on hybridz that imported some of them to the USA. Also ford must have an IRS diff by now? What do all the irs V8 falcons use for a diff? I've read about somone that converted a live axle ford 9 inch into an irs unit and stuck it in a 240z.
  16. Yeah, I guess Lachlan is right. The grey does look like a satin black. Heres some photos taken by Alan T. of Nissans GT-R in one of there offices i believe. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&page=12&ppuser=2116&sortby=d&sorttime=9999&way=asc (Gallery seems to be a bit broken after the site upgrade, the large picture wont load)
  17. Make a 140Z replica out of the B210
  18. They look like the TC rod bushs.
  19. Part Number 24850-R5000 24850 is a speedo assembly for a C110. Cant find the R5000 part, the FSM i have only lists: R3012 - DX,GL R4612 - GT AT+ECI R4613 - GT MT And attached is the other fsm from 1975. Maybe its from a newer than '75 model?
  20. Yes the Flares are rivet on. Can be seen clearly in the Skyline GT-R book by Neko. As for colour, theres only a couple of colour photo of a red GT-R. They look black, but they dont look the same as the gloss black of the fender mirrors. Looks more like a satin black finish. Doesn't look Matt.
  21. "A fuel injected investment"
  22. My reply was deleted too. though there was nothing really inflamitory about it. I think its not really what you said, but the way you said it. People posts get deleted when you come on and say "hey, your car sucks", but not if you say, "I dont like the those cars, the design just doesn't do it for me" Also you original post came off as being about all 240K's not just this car that the thread is about, which is a pretty bad looking car with the missing chrome, and weird rear spoiler thing, and black isnt a good colour for K's. Also its off topic, so the moderators are within there rights to delete it, so they might delete this post too...
  23. Probably because 940 wasn't used on the 240Z. The other color charts are for all Datsun colors, so 940 was probably a Datsun color for a different model (like the 510 for example).
  24. Some of the old works rally cars as they are today at the Zama storage facility. Pics courtesy of Alan Thomas. more pictures in his gallery http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&page=9&ppuser=2116&sortby=d&sorttime=9999&way=asc
