  1. Will, you crack me up!! Okay, the Z came with the tint! You know where my disposable income is going........PAMPERS!!!! I must confess that the rally clock was rather spontaneous but I couldnt resist! Chris
  2. Nice Truck Nate. My Z has tinted door glass and quarter glass. I like it in the Nebraska summer, lots of sunshine. Had a tinted "240Z" band at the top of the windshield but took it off due to the lettering peeling. My Xterra's rear doors and rear cargo glass are tinted as well. Makes it a little harder to see what goodies I just bought at Best Buy!! Chris
  3. Hey Bill, I would recommend a "Multi Purpose" one rated A,B and C. A=Trash, Wood, Paper B=Liquids and Gases C=Energized Electrical Equipment I would also suggest a reloadable one. If you use it or its charge becomes weak from lack of use, you can take it to a service dealer and have it recharged. Its usually cheaper to have them recharged than to buy a new replacement. Here's a good link to the vendor I buy mine from. http://www.kiddeus.com/Fire+Extinguisher+Catalog.shtml Chris
  4. Looked like about 8500 on the tach. Sounded sweet!! Thanks for the links. Chris
  5. Holy Moly!! OK, time for all our members with that in their car to fess up!! Chris
  6. This is all I can find for you. http://www.goodson.com/instr/DHS-40.pdf Used to get them from NAPA or Carquest but can't find them listed online in any other catalog. Much luck, Chris
  7. Thanks Enrique, you're right on, tack cloths can either help or harm. I knew you'd chime in on this thread, you the Master!!! Chris
  8. I would wipe the car down with tack cloths myself, then put on your metal prep solution. Then tack the car again before you put primer on as well. The cleaner the surface the better the end result will be. I use PPG DX440 Ditz-O wax and grease remover. Put some on a rag and wipe the area you want to prep My .02 Chris
  9. My 73's are on upside down, bought it that way, the hood doesnt rub, I'd like to flip them but I can just see the studs snapping off as soon as I attempt it. Someday I'll get brave and turn them around. Chris
  10. Too bad it's not a drop top model! Chris

Yep, that's the one, I've been searching for the Japanese website where I read about its history. Still can't find it. Chris

If Alan(HS30-H) is watching, I'm sure he knows. Maybe Ben(V12horse). I've seen the car but I cant remember what website that talked about its history. Chris
  14. Hey Will, having a brain cramp here, what's a L28WET? Chris
  15. No, that would be cool though. I'm just ready for spring. Me and the Z are itching to put some fuel through them carbs again!! Chris
  16. Great stuff Dave. Like the in-car footage on the track. Makes me ready to go to my local track. Gotta get a video camera first! http://www.midamericamotorplex.com/code/track_main.asp Chris

Okay, enough of this geezer stuff. If you're driving a Z then you're a long way from the 79 year old with the bad eye sight in the 81 Sedan Deville at the local Mega-Lo Mart smacking his bumpers off everything in sight. And then driving away completely unaware that he just caved in the rear fender on a Subaru.... Sorry...had a moment there. :classic: Chris
  18. You got that right!! But hey admit it, you really like the "is it coming or going" 300C, Magnum, and new Charger dont you.....admit it!! Just kidding you Camouflage!! I have a Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4x4 with a 345 horse Hemi...17MPG on highway...but its a work truck. :nervous: I promise you Victor that it wont EVER be seen in a parking lot. Chris
  19. Beautiful Nate, she looks like my Franklin Mint model. Outstanding find! Much envy, Chris

Good one. I'll be 38 this year. Had a 71 for autocross, had a 72 daily (rusty) driver, have a 73 with many mods but stock looking except for tires/rims. Chris
  21. Hey Tom, you're right on the money! Here's a link, looks pretty cool. Looks like you could cut the yokes off the stock shafts and add these cool chromed pieces. http://www.flaming-river.com/joint1.htm Chris
  22. I think he means the universal joint in the steering shaft from firewall to steering rack. Not ball joints. And to RobertH, I'm not sure of your solution. I have had some success with ujoints at a local place that does driveline service and works on agricultural driveshafts. Good luck. Chris
  23. Thanks Mike, I'll probably just polish her up like you did. Chris
  24. Hi nuteman, what year is your car? I have a complete headlight switch assembly out of a 71 if your interested. Chris
