Zspert, Care to share your opinion of a closer to “right” color? Will be traveling this road shortly… Amazon has a can of graphite heading my way already. I do wonder is there consensus for color of the manifold, that will last a few dozen/hundred heat cycles. -

Checking on my vin 740 shows the same apparently un-used black wire…… Looks clean as a whistle inside the protective sleeve…. Like the above mentioned previous picture Was folded for extended time …..

Update….. wound up stripping all the recently applied paint off 2446 due to ……well… a misunderstanding of the quality expected is a nice way to put it… New paint….better prep, better paint ….more controlled environment to apply has resulted in a more better virtually perfect paint reapplication. Have rebuilt, restored the quarter trim of both 51 and vin 2446 …. Polished up up few sets for future use. Vin 51 is in the same boat of unsatisfactory paint application….. soon to address that as well….. Cleaned up and flipped over the dash front cover trim, of 2446, I’m believing this is the true color “light greenish”… of both this part and possibly the correct hue of green for horns as well? Comments?

Series 2/3 oct. 71-73? Had never realized/noticed the highlighted in white, “defogger” and the placard of sorts for the driving lights, and more of a decal for the choke. Rear window “high lighted” when defogger was present. Parking lights label is quite thick, bringing surface up level with the lid itself. Appears these details were affixed to the more common export market console lid…… 2 different style parking lights label quite labels I can see. I thought kinda neat.. David
