  1. This is the book I am talking about.
  2. I picked up a vintage copy of "How to Modify 510, 610, 240Z Engines & Chassis" printed 1973. In it Jere Stahl discusses the merit of using a 1 3/8" primary header on a stock motor 240Z. Great book if you can get a copy.
  3. Mike your Z looks great. IMHO the only thing I'd do different is to paint the rear panel the proper gray.

    Looking good JP.
  5. I'd get a new OEM fender.
  6. Thanks Dave. Good info. Jere knows his stuff. He recommended 1 3/8" primaries for my stock motor 240Z as well. By the way MSA is going to be selling the Stahl headers soon.
  7. Randy, Nice cars!
  8. Car is looking great. Go with the Panasports.
  9. David, Sorry to bring up an old thread but what size are the primaries in the Stahl header for the streetable Z? I have been discussing with Jere his recommendations for a stock 240Z motor. He likes a 1 3/8" primary 3-2 header. I was curious if this is what you have & how you like it. Thanks!
  10. Has anybody here used this header?
  11. I see Jock has his headers for sell on Ebay now.
  12. Let us know how the header works out.
  13. As far as the battery tray issue, I had to have it and the assoc. firewall area replaced on our '78 280Z. I had the Z Barn cut us out a donor tray and firewall section. The body shop then cut out the bad and grafted in the donor section. www.zbarn.com Seems like the donor piece was around $125 shipped.
  14. Anybody seen one of Les' recover panels? Is the chrome strip there?
  15. If it had been a square port I would have been bidding. Glad to see a board member got it.
  16. What size primaries Ron? That looks like a piece of art.
  17. This is the route I plan to use for my blue door panels.
  18. Les has always made time whenever I have called. Just wish he wasn't on the other side of the country. I'd love to see what he could do with my '71 240Z.
  19. No problem. I wish I had the choices you have there. Les would redo my 71 240Z one day! I have spent more than I care to admit in both stores.... From what Sal says there is not much margin on the Stahl headers so maybe Les doesn't push them.
  20. Ron, I asked Les for his opinion and he mentioned if price was no object go with the Stahl. I did not get the impression he carried the Stahl line. He also felt that the new MSA headers were decent. I have ordered many items from Les & Sal. As far as I am concerned both do a great job for the Z community & I have great respect for both of them.
