    There are few differnt types of L28 Heads... n42 n47 p79 p90 p90 is regarded as the best flowing head...

  3. Your not saying these images are your own. If you include a link to where you got them from i cannot see any real issues... Your not using them in anyway to make money from yadda yadda yadda yadda..... I say all of this because i didnt see them all link me link me

Thought it would come under this section doesnt really fit into body and paint or Engine or Electrical Anyway.. my subframe on the newer 81 ZX is all bent squashed from where people have had narrow jacks etc... its even rusted through on the left hand side firewall where the subframe angles down slightly also i noticed today (my fault ) i jacked up the rear left hand side too check the pads where i jacked it up on the rear suspension mount too the floor pan that pushed up with the weight of the car so how would i fix that ? Or is this even worth fixing ?

Success :D she runs...i just hot wired it from the positive side of the battery too the coil... after 5mins of trying it went But i still have Electrical Probs..Indicatiors dont work... also i cant turn the key to the on posistion without the dash lights coming on.... Radio worked when the Key was onto Acc.
  8. well i got my grand fathers Landcruiser up there got some jumper leads onto it it turns over but still no dash lights eg ones that say fuel exahust temp and seat belts...widow wipers work but the windows still dont Its got a remote like a touch key arlam on the key chain but i looked around couldnt find any module for it No spark....compression seems O.K seems to spin nicely over...but something aint right cant pin point it but i got a feeling something is wrong..

I got a 81 Zx yesterday, anyway once i hooked up the battery turn the key too the on posisiton no lights at all the power windows dont work but the radio works :S horn works when i go to start it it turns about 1 once maybe twice then nothing Turn the key aroudn to start it goes click So my guess is there is a electrical short somewhere but where do i check in these cars ? having not alot of direct experiance i have no idea where to check : thanks.

    Thats fully sick m8 but id you look closely all the shots are taken outside of the car are the 280zx all shots taken inside are of a KINGSWOOD grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr tight arse's On the DVD you get to see that car do two burnouts

    Are all S130's have the HGS130 prefix ? or just the fairlady Z's ? Reason being... Some of you may know i brought a 280zx early on with front damage.. the idea was to fix it up but was too far gone So today i got the quokka (like the trading post) and came across this: Nissan 280zx Untidy $100 So i gave the guy a ring asked him the usual stuff etc went to go have a look offered him $50 and its mine Its very untidy on the inside the roof lining has been pulled off (go knows why) so i have to hunt around for another cant use mine because this one has T Tops Engine isnt running but ill have a crack at it tomorrow.. Front fenders have no rust which is a good thing its been painted black but very dodgy..like its very thick...and cracking etc... Ah..what elese hehe, Its got the stock factory mags.. dash is cracked so i might, MIGHT do a transplant dash swap from my own 280zx already So let the fun begin hehehe...
  13. I just got a new 1981 280zx, its got the P80 head on it...is this head better then the N42 on my old car ? Also the inlet manifold seems to be slightly differnt more vacum hoses ? so would the 1981 - 1979 wiring loom be differnt ?
  14. Coventorys has PolyUrethane bushes's i dont know if they have them for the 240-260z but you can enquire they look like multifit bushes

Personally i havent had alot of experiance with the SU's on the Z's but they seem to be good for what they are.. a old carby though they where ahead of there time when they cam out Personally i would go for Triple 50mm webbers, dont go any smaller because you can get chokes to suit the engine more if you go larger you can choke down but if you go too small you cant make em bigger

    to true bambi, its a classic keep it as a classic it will reward you. in 40 years time a classic 240z kept in good order should fetch a good figure !
  17. If you do them cold you have to make the clearance's loose. If you do them hot you have got time against you ! I just helped my mate do his on his L20b both hot and cold and i burnt my hands heaps of times Ok ill hijack the tread now - Valve clearence on the L29 between the cam and the rocker or the rocker and the valve ?
  18. Blocked injector, No pulse, Vacum leak, No compressio, No spark I would check the pulse first with a led light in the end of the connection. Next would be spark, Compression then tackle the fuel injector if thats the problem

  20. i believe that the 240z block can be bored out too 2.8lt but your better off getting a 280zx block hone it out and start from there

    Dont even think of modifiying it keep it stock as a rock in 20years from now it will be rare as hens teeth
  22. OK well you can use a multimeter to measure the resistance but how to do it i wouldnt know

  24. Get yourself a nice lumpy cam that should fix all problems
  25. there was no 76 280zx maybe a 280z I thought all the heads and manifolds where the same from 240z to 280zx well not the same but interchangable
